Tomorrow sees THIRD TIME LUCKY (2.00 Lingers Park) run off his lowest perching since winning the ’15 Cambridgeshire. Although he hasn’t won since that day he has put up some decent efforts in defeat. Whilst last time had no luck in running but still finished on the heels of the leaders. Is top weight in this £19k handicap but does look a stand-out against animals out of form, difficult to win with or running off stiff looking career high marks. COSMEAPOLITAN had entries for Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week but has not made it too the track. If Mother Nature allows it now looks as if he will go back to Newbury next Wednesday for his 2nd outing over timber. The old boy is still 33/1 for the ‘Triumph’ (in one place) but has now been introduced into the ‘Fred Winter’ market at 16/1. However, it’s my understanding (from ‘The Weekender’ and local media) that Alan King really likes Coeur De Lion for this who is available at 4 points larger. He was beaten at 1/3 last time but was not disgraced and was, afterall, conceding weight all round. Thinks 131 is more than fair – may get in off this or may need a slight rise to guarantee a run. Good luck, all.
Tizzard's Fourth Act must have a chance in the Pertemps Qualifier at Warwick tomorrow. Lenient hurdle mark, further reduced by 10lb claimer who is 3/4 for the trainer who himself is in sparkling form. However more crucially in these festival qualifiers, this one may actually be trying to win. 14/1 will do for me. Good luck all.
Can seriously see Mark Johnston having all 3 winners @ Lingfield today apart from the fact my luck is rotten atm and i've bet on it, to put it into perspective had a tri-cast in the last at wolves last night - Keene's Point, Dr Red Eye and Prisom and Fossa pretty much came from nowhere to get 3rd from Keene's Point. Don't even know what it would of paid, was a £1 all-ways tri-cast. It paid over 800/1 with Fossa and Keene's Point was triple his price. Anyway the first one is the toughest but Kingsley Klarion's been back down on a winning mark for a while and has run much better than form suggests. 1 25 - Kingsley Klarion 25/1 3 10 - Spinwheel 6/1 3 40 - Daleelak 12/1
Turban 50/1 in the 3 15 Kempton worth an e/w bet. Gone downhill especially since joining the new yard from Mullins, but if it shows anything like it's old form anytime soon it's going to make a mockery of this price or a price.
Small stakes stuff for me today, e/w patent on the following: 2.25 Warwick Fourth Act 2.40 Kempton Doesyourdogbite 3.35 Warwick Houblon Des Obeaux Best of luck one and all
The Grade 2 Moscow Flyer novice hurdle is race of the day at Punchestown and I've been looking forward to seeing the Ted Walsh trained Any Second Now since his very cosy and cheeky win at 66/1 on debut. Had to surprise Ted and JP as no way would they let him off 66/1 if they knew. I can't bring myself to bet him with the strength of this field and knowing that Ted may have him winning a handicap in Tramore off 87 in 3 years time, but I do hope he's is as exciting as he looked lto and he keeps Crack Mome honest.
Likewise small stakes for me too Oddy. Warwick E/W trixie for me: 3:00 Ballyhill 20/1 3:35 Kaki De La Pree 9/1 4:10 Paisley Park 16/1
In the opener at Lingers top weight First Experience should be good enough to take the honours with sand rant king Kirby on board.Ive seen worse 9/4 shots. Over at Punchy there is a nice amateur chase in 1.35 where my eye is drawn to dour stayer Undressed 6/1.The Codd maestro is teaming up with Elliot on Riverside City and he could prove the man danger with the head gear thrown on to help the horsey run better following some very poor runs over the last year.
A cheeky little treble on the card-openers at Kempton, Punchestown and Wetherby: Poker Play Bachasson Mount Mews Basically I fancy Bachasson and the 2 shorties are just to boost the price. Imagine my annoyance should Bachasson win and one of the shorties get beaten
