Rickie Holmes off after a bang on the head, replaced by Ashley Harris.

29 minutes - Ashley Harris corner, Sonny Bradley volleys home...............1-0 to Pompey <ok>

Sonny's first goal for the club.

With their first proper attack, Sarfend have equalised. Racon nearly scored moments later for Pompey.

    1-1 at half time.

BBC statistics say we have had 52% of play, with 7 shots (5 on target), against the home side's 4 shots (3 on target).

    Their keeper has been superb.

Could be an interesting second half......

Big Pat on for David Connolly in the 69th minute.

He immediately set up a good chance for Joe Devera.

Jed Wallace's superb shot hits the crossbar - how unlucky are we ?!

Sounds like young Jack Whatmough is playing well.

Romain Padovani on for Ashley Harris.

998 Pompey fans out of a total of 7,736. Good turnout yet again.

Oh ffs! Why is it that if there's a goal in stoppage time it is ALWAYS against us? We never, ever, EVER score the winner in stoppage time! It's always someone else who does it! Or if not the winner than an equaliser. FFS!!!!

Someone needs to sit the players down and show them Pedro Mendes' goal against Man City in 2006 or whenever it was. THAT is how you finish a match, not ****ing throwing it away like ****ing usual!

Have faith - we will get better.

But we seriously need a few more players.

And from what I read in the News today, as well as previously, there did seem to be something amiss with the training regime under Guy.

This is the first game I have watched under RB and I have to say its a different bunch of blokes out there........100% given, cant ask for more than that, my only quibble is we let in a soft goal at the break and then didnt defend a long ball desperado hit for the second...........but a much improved work rate.

I said in previous games that I was fed up of watching players burn out after 55 - 60 mins......well now we know GW's training was just for a few days a week I am not surprised! RB has got these lads waaaaaay fitter, they play harder and faster, I think it will come good with a couple or 3 players going and some new ones coming, I would guess with Coppell's contacts we will be stronger in the second half of the season <ok>

Played very well today, good game of football that could have gone either way. Just seem to be lacking that bit of luck as much as anything else, we've hit the wood work twice in our last three games and came up against a keeper having a blinder today in the first half especially. A decent playmaker and a striker with some pace and we will be off and running I reckon. Saturday should be a good. Game if this rain stops for long enough to let the pitch dry out. Can't imagine its fairing to well at the moment.

Southend are always a good bet at home, with a bit of luck we could have had a point. Like Ant says we are going to improve little by little.

    Come on Pompey!!

Good to see we have extended Trevor Carson's loan from Bury until the end of the season.

Also that Adam Webster has returned to FP from Aldershot; albeit with hopefully only a minor injury; and will soon be available for our first team.

Agree, we desperately need a pacy striker - Jake Jervis would have been ideal - say a promising youngster on loan from a Premier league, or Championship team, with an eye for a goal.

If RB can get our existing squad of players fully fit, then that would be a start.
