    http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/eng/...an-advanced-stage-with-sunderland-for-santon/

Davide Santon could soon leave Italy and England. In his future there is the Premier League, Sunderland to be specific. Negotiations are at a very advanced stage, both parties are working to find a deal as soon as possible. The Italian defender, born in 1991, could once again leave Inter for another experience in England after playing for Newcastle from 2011 to 2015. Awaiting for updates, Santon could soon tie himself to Sunderland on a permanent move

Yep thats the same Santon that played for the Geordies :emoticon-0183-swear.

The same one who said he'd never seen a mackem in milan? :)

No idea if he's any good as it's that long since I've seen him play

I've always liked the lad, I'd be keen on this.

He's a vast improvement at RB, although he has been played LB a lot.

Mourinho once rated him as one of the best prospects out there, injuries slowed him.

    This id like to happen.

He'd be a cracking player for you. We should not have gotten rid of him whatsoever. Mourinho rates him, Pardew hates him. Tells you everything you need to know!

Didn't Pardew stick him at LB as well, taking away from the fact he's very decent going forward and forcing him to cut inside.

    Pardewed.

Don't get me started. The majority of our far base thought he was a LB too. I remember having to educate everyone on his actual position. No wonder he didn't perform to his best with us. I was gutted when he left.

Good but for you Jesus Gamez. Was Málaga captain when I was over there and he's very decent mate, heart of a lion as well.

Very good on the ball and not scared to hoy the boot in.

Sounds like just what we need. We've got too many players with hearts the size of a pea. Bone idle tossers boil my blood.

No worries there mate, he's a proper fighter, I'd have been happy if we signed him, for me he could easily play Premier League, although he's not had games behind Juanfran, little shame in that.

He moved at the time the owners were selling everyone off, he'd been incredibly loyal to Málaga previously, rejected big moves.

Interesting to see you doing business with Inter after the Alvarez fiasco.

How much that was just the media exaggerating is anyone's guess.

Besides, football clubs will do business with anyone if it's in their interests, you should know that.

Would be a good signing, I thought he was getting on a bit but he's only 25, seems like he's been around forever. With defensive drilling from Sam he should be more than decent.

4 million for this lad, at 25 years old, in todays market is a great bit of business once again from our club. If he shows the form that everybody knows he is capable of, his value could easily go to treble that.

Kirchhoff, Kone, Khazri and Santon for 19 million. If Santon does as well as the three K's, we would get at least 50 million for them four players <ok>
