A very good piece on our latest aquisition.....

    http://fourfourtwo.com/blogs/eurovi...-rise-fall-and-re-birth-of-davide-santon.aspx

Good overview of his career to date. If he can re-capture his form we could have a superstar on our hands looking at the comments he was picking up early in his career..... Seems to have taken a bit of a confidence knock, lets hope we can pick him back up, at 21 a cracking prospect who has already accomplished much in his career so far.

Closing statement is a good one.... the New Maldini or the New Pistone......

So we are signing exwonderkids with confidence issues. Not bad

He's 20, he's still got a long career ahead of him, writing him off now is ridiculous!

Only thing is, despite him being a brilliant signing, you can't really change a game from left back. No doubt he'll definatly strengthen the team and i'm very happy to have him here but I doubt he'll make a huge difference on our final finshing position

I know, but some articles online seem to write him off because he couldn't get back into the Inter squad. I actually believe Pardew can build his confidence.

I think so to along with Obertan. We could be on our way to a even better defence and play down the wings

They're both good deals thinking about it. Bought on the cheap with low confidence and huge potential, build up their confidence, get a few years of outstanding play from them, sell them for a huge profit if we're not top 4 by then.

I saw his interview on NufcTV and I was really impressed - he said it has been his dream to play in the Premier League and Newcastle is a great move for him. He also said he has always been very keen to learn English and hopes to pick the language up quickly

He seems like a canny lad. Even in his Chronicle interview he comes across as wanting to be here long term. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newc...66/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

  13. He doesn't speak any English though, his interview was all Italian.
