  2. That's great news!

Although, having Brazilian stars doesn't seem to have the same kudos these days. Spanish footballers are the new Peles, these days.

A Brazil call-up isn't an invitation to get injured like an England one, is it?
Because that would excuse Gilberto some of his utter ****eness...

He got injured with Brazil last time.
That's why he's barely played for us so far this season.

Still, at least there's no chance that he'll get pissed off about not being selected and start looking for a move in January, I guess.

Game's about to start and it's on ITV4, if anyone's interested.

Sandro scored at 13 minutes. Snuck in with a toe poke after some shambolic defending on a pitch where they couldn't get the water off or the lights on. It'll be a beautiful goal to his grandkids though. Have to hope he doesn't get hurt. They're playing in a swamp.

Doesn't bode well for the ACN, does it?

Got to be the perfect nightmare for Gabon. Big friendly against Brazil, and the world watches you playing on a swamp in the dark. I wouldn't want to be anyone associated with the stadium right now. Or with the government for that matter.

The money used to pay for a year's worth of pitch maintenance probably covered Brazil's £1.3m booking fee. Just ask Tanzania and Zimbabwe...

Watched it till Sandro went off. I thought Brazil played well, just hope Sandro is ok, he seemed to have some problem, and it could have been that troublesome calf again. Though he walked off okay, so hopefully just precautionary.

Nov 10 (Reuters) - Goals from Sandro and Hernanes gave Brazil a comfortable 2-0 win over Gabon in a friendly in Libreville on Thursday but the five-times world champions will be more pleased their players avoided serious injury on a treacherous surface.

Yep NSS, there were no serious injuries, as I say Sandro walked off under his steam. But it did seem he was indicating he had problems which is why he was subbed. My fear is that it is his calf again, as I don't think he's played a full game for us or Brazil so far this season.

Naturally, I hope it's nothing to worry about, but I suspect a fully fit Sandro may have appeared earlier v Fulham, though he looked fine tonight until something seemed to go awry.
