Tottenham midfielder Sandro sent a chilling message to Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam after his tackle left Paulinho on the sidelines for at least a month. (Source: Metro) Excellent news!
The fact that Adam is tolerated on the football pitch is pretty outrageous. He says he has nothing against Spurs. He also says he would never wish to endanger the career of a fellow professional by injuring him. My only response to that is that either (a) he's lying; or (b) he's so incompetent that he's a liability because he can't control his own actions. Either way, his presence is a constant and serious concern. On Sunday, by the way, when he came on to the pitch, and (I think) before he had kicked the ball or any players, the ref called him over and spoke to him - the body language indicated to me that he was saying something on the lines of "I know who you are and what you do, and I'm watching you!". Adam reacted very angrily to this and made finger-wagging threatening gestures to the ref. I'm surprised this little incident wasn't picked up by the tv pundits/press. Mark you, it didn't stop that tackle on Paulinho happening, did it! And, by the way, I don't approve of public threats from one footballer to another, either.
I was always taught when playing rugby, never threaten anybody. Do the deed first, and then explain afterwards, ' there's more if you want it'. Sandro has forced himself into a corner now, if he doesn't break Adam's legs next time he faces him then it will be difficult to take him seriously.
I'm not sure "The Beast is watching you" is actually a threat? A bit too pantomime to be a threat. I'm sure he's joking.
I don't get how Adam is getting away with his assaults on spurs players...the ****er clearly has a problem with us ... April 2011 Bale put out for the end of the season by him Sept 2011 sent off in 19 mins for appalling tackles on spurs players July 2012 tries to cripple bale in a friendly Dec 2013 comes on as a sub and 5 mins later puts paulinio out for a month 4 incidents ... All serious...for 3 different clubs all against spurs...and the cut keeps on getting away with it. Coincidence ****ing animal should be banned but as usual it'll be ignored and some manager will get done for being rude about a ref
Cool down rcl. you need to become practical man, just hire a hit man and knock him over. don't over react.
If Sandro and Adam meet in the PL, Adam will just get beasted around for as long as he is on the pitch. Sandro doesn't wildly hack down opponents. That is not what his game is about. Adam OTOH is a thug who cannot deal with things not going his way, so I'd expect a red for him at some stage (just like last season) .
Wouldn't it be hilarious if Sandro kept appearing in the crowd at Stoke games, just sitting there...watching.
Honestly, guys, this is like kids in the playground stuff. "I'm gonna get you at play-time!" "Yeah, well, I'm gonna get you, first!" That said, from what I hear, the Sandro taunt was clearly done in jest and, as someone has already pointed out, it's not in Sandro's nature to purposely set out to harm anyone. His martial arts training will have taut him to respect himself and others, for a start. Then again, I'm all for Sandro using a bit of psychology to get back at the thug, Adam.
Charlie Adam received this voicemail from a withheld number this morning...
Sandro will beast Adam all over the pitch on the return game. Adam can't take it and it should be another early bath again for him.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...oss-mark-hughes-hits-out-at-tottenhams-sandro Stoke boss Mark Hughes has hit back at Tottenham midfielder Sandro after he delivered a warning to Charlie Adam. Tottenham were furious with Adam for his challenge on Paulinho at the weekend, which left the Brazilian with ankle ligament damage and will sideline him for at least a month. Spurs made an official complaint to a Football Association disciplinary panel, which was rejected - but, on Monday, Sandro tweeted a message to Adam saying 'The Beast', as he is often referred to, was watching him. Adam had already tweeted himself saying he had nothing against any Spurs players, but Hughes has responded to Sandro's own message and even hopes the FA take action. "We don't appreciate some of their players Twittering on their own sites about 'Waiting for Charlie'. I think that has the potential for a disrepute charge in itself, so we'll see if that's responded to," Hughes told The Sentinel. "I was disappointed it went to a disciplinary panel as the referee (Kevin Friend) was two yards away from it. "Apparently he said he didn't see it. I was disappointed as the referee should have seen it was a genuine attempt to win the ball." Hughes insisted that Adam had no issue with Tottenham, given previous controversies he has had with the club. "Absolutely not," he said. "Why would he? It doesn't make sense. "But there's a lot of good players who couldn't tackle." The best thing about that article is some of the comments. "Charlie Adam isn't a good footballer", being my personal fav.
What is it that people do not understand ?? When Sandro next encounters Adam in a Spurs game, Charlie boy will be beasted all over the pitch. But being beasted does not entail nor require thug/moron tackles/hacking on the opponents legs. We know the likes of Adam, Suarez etc cannot deal with the relentless but LEGAL attention of such players.
Hughes can relate to Adam, as he was a dirty bastard himself. The suggestion that a jokey tweet is somehow worse than a series of disgraceful fouls is laughable, though I can't say I'm surprised. Some people will make any excuse for their players.
By far the most gentlemanly way to settle the issue would be a duel. Not pistols or anything vulgar, Kick boxing would suffice. Sandro versus Adam. It would be rather entertaining.
