Sanctions on Russia

One would have thought that before imposing sanctions the powers that be would have considered the other side of the coin. i.e. What sanctions might they impose on us in return and whether there was a cost benefit ratio in our favour. Evidently this wasnt done. Putin has continued to benefit from higher prices for gas and oil whilst this country is in virtual meltdown over the consequences of that. Never mind, Batshit Lizzie Bentgob will be riding to the rescue soon.

They are blocking gas. Although we don't use it the effect is to push world gas prices into the stratosphere.

 

short term pain, to send the orcs packing. Long term Russia will be in the wilderness. They will lose on gas/oil and the weapons industry will collapse, as it show they have substandard equipment
