http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20140710/alexis-sanchez-agrees-to-join-arsenal OK, i gotta give props to Wenger for this one.
I wonder if Kyle will finally remove his Wenger out sig ? Looking a bit needless to say the least now
We haven't even played a single game yet this season, yes, Wenger did just make a brilliant signing, but for all we know, his tactics and gameplanning could still be ****. I'll keep it here until Wenger proves me wrong on the managerial front
Good signing, although moreso down to Barca not wanting him and him preferring London to live in rather than Wenger being some irresistible beauty at the negotiation table. Anyway, interested in how that shapes up your starting XI for next season (as it stands). So many top players in attack now I'm losing track, which 5 do you go with - assuming at least one has to sit deep and defend. Sign a proper defensive midfielder and a striker and you're looking very strong imo...bastards!
He had the choice between us and Juve, and decided on us after Wenger contacted him personally and spoke to him in Spanish.
Sanchez is quoted as saying that Wenger is one of the reasons he came to Arsenal. Also it has been widely reported that it was because of Wenger's meeting with Sanchez in Brazil where he convinced him to join Arsenal that Sanchez chose us over Juventus who were also strongly linked. I don't think you can underestimate Wenger's influence in this deal.
Sadness? Interesting interpretation... I have to put some kind of wummery into a post on a rival board or it wouldn't be legal But it was a serious question because I don't mind Arsenal when it comes to to the top teams in Europe, so you can act the witty internet thread hero all you like. I did actually wonder who your preferred XI would be right now.
Fair enough I appreciate non-twattish replies like this as opposed to certain other members on your board.
