Danny Graham opens the scoring just before the end of the first half.

Evening Vetch'. I'm going to be calling it a night here soon. Here's a link to the live audio: http://www.sjearthquakes.com/news/2012/07/listen-live-earthquakes-vs-swansea-city

    Here's our line-up:

Michel Vorm, Angel Rangel, Chico, Ashley Williams, Ben Davies, Leon Britton, Jonathan de Guzman, Michu, Wayne Routledge, Luke Moore, Danny Graham.
Subs: Gerhard Tremmel, Alan Tate, Andrea Orlandi, Nathan Dyer, Stephen Dobbie, Garry Monk, Leroy Lita, Fede Bessone, Kemy Agustien, Mark Gower, Gwion Edwards, Jazz Richards.

The first time Ash and Chico have paired up in a game. Good to see Ben Davies getting a run out ahead of Bessone. Routledge preferred over Dyer - but may mean nothing.

We comfortably owned the first half, tons of possession but as usual not a lot of clear chances.

I'm also alive and kicking at this ungodly hour! Shame there isn't any video links, but still enjoying the radio commentary - I'm slowly warming to the American soccer jargon. Shall we start calling the penalty box, "the 18"? The hardest one to follow is when someone gives a foul away, the foul is "on" the tackler, not the victim. I keep hearing "foul on [e.g. Britton]" and then have to remember that it means that it's a San Jose free kick!

Good morning bk. The jargon does take a bit of getting used to,but I forgive him.

    Final Score 2-2.

Swans' surrendered a comfortable 2-0 lead, falling apart in last quarter, and were lucky not to lose.

I wonder what Mr. Laudrop made of that.

But we're without our Olympic stars, and these are only friendlies, so don't suppose we can read to much into it. Only another 17 days to go before the start of the season though.

I Agree With Pembs Jack :D

I've quickly rearranged the player list in order of the time of substitution just to make it a bit more clear (in my head at least:emoticon-0126-nerd:).

    Angel Rangel (Ashley Richards 46)
    Wayne Rutledge (Nathan Dyer 46)

    Ashley Williams (Alan Tate 62)
    Leon Britton (Germaine Agustien 62)
    Luke Moore (Stephen Dobbie 62)

    Chico (Gary Monk 75)
    Daniel Graham (Leroy Lita 75)
Jonathan de Guzman (Mark Gower 75)

    Ben Davies (Federico Bessone 79)
    Michu (Andrea Orlandi 79)

    Michael Vorm (Not substituted)

    And goals scored (with assists)....

    Graham (Unassisted) 41
    Chico (Ashley Williams) 60

    Steven Lenhart (Shea Salinas) 80
    Steven Lenhart (Rafael Baca) 85

And that my friends is why we fell apart after the 75th minute.
Still, should give ML plenty to think about!

Just confirms what we've all known for about 5 years, no strength in depth at the back.

I'm glad that Laudrup will learn something from this. You've only got to look at when the subs were made. The result itself is secondary.

Two headed goals conceded again. Set pieces or high crosses, we never have been able to deal with them consistently and it seems the usual suspects were there again. I'm sure ML will have noted this and act accordingly. There's £60 million at stake this season which is the future of our club for a long time to come.

No time for sentiment, we can't afford it. If you're not good enough, you're OUT whoever you are. End of!!

Looking forward to the match highlights and seeing exactly what happened back there, but I'll bet there was a cross involved.

Didn't read previous post before posting mine. The subs / goals time line tells a story. Looks like we do need to splash a little cash or grab a loanee or two for the center half cover ... Surprise there.
