OK, stupid me, I probably should not have done it but I accepted the software upgrade. I think it was an o/s upgrade. It seems ot ave made the icons a rounder shape - irrelevant - and taken away the option of clearing all notifications with one stroke - just annoying. The camera flash now lights up with each email I receive - really annoying. Been into settings--> accessibility -->hearing and the 'flash notification' box is unchecked yet still flashes on email receipt. I can't see anything in email settings to switch it off. Advice appreciated.
Buy an iPhone. Only took Apple about 2 weeks to sort out their last OS upgrade fiasco. Seriously, be patient, they will send out a fix for it if it's a widespread issue.
Found this for you... The solution on a technical forum is to go to Settings > My Device > Accessibility > Hearing > Flash Notification Un-check Flash Notification. Even if the flash notification box is not checked, check it once* and un-check it again. It should solve your problem. *(best to save and come out the screen then go back in apparently)
I have a Xperia and the upgrade I got 6 mths ago stopped me 'clearing all notifications with one stroke' I still can't find a fix even after going in to O2 shop.
I upgraded my S5 this morning, but I can still clear the notifications all at once? Not that that's much help, sorry. Not noticed the flash issue.
Are you able to clear individually with one swipe? I suspect it's a way to get us to look at individual items!
RTID can't swipe at all. For me to view I have to hit silver button on right side and then I get pop ups and have to touch each one to view them. It's a pain in the *rse. O2 said the only thing they can suggest is to restore to factory settings. Any suggestions would be great.
A couple of things I've seen looking round. If the swipe down doesn't work then try using two fingers (apparently this means that voice recognition is on). If It's notifications from a certain app then try holding your finger on it to allow you to view the app (it might be unresponsive so needs a forcw close). Not sure if it's helpful at all.
Lol, I feel your pain kiwi, I ended up reinstalling Windows7 as it's still supported and I had the disk still. On android can you do a phone back up then do a factory reset. I did this once and all the apps like chrome were there but the older versions. Not sure if this would work with the operating system upgrade! I will ask a friend tomorrow and post if any useful info arises!
OK, so you can downgrade your Android Os version but only if your acting out a pagan ritual please log in to view this image and you wear one of these costumes... please log in to view this image which I'm sure you can find in your local Fun and Frolics party/fancy dress store Sorry, couldn't resist, anyway it can be done but I'm not going to bore you and everyone trying to explain how to. A few useful links that will answer your questions I hope! http://androidfact.com/how-to-downgrade-android-firmware-and-versions/ http://www.gottabemobile.com/2015/01/30/how-to-downgrade-android-5-0/ http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...ion-of-android-after-installing-an-ota-update
I went back to factory settings on my laptop to reinstate Windows 8 as Windows 10 was pissing me off so much. I still keep getting the prompts for Windows 10 which are annoying as well...
I somehow accidentally started off the installation processes because of those nagging Windows10 reminders! Microsoft cant give it away so they force it on you!
Going from bad to worse. I've also lost the notification panel. Some links suggest a hard reset required to get this back. Does that delete data off the phone?
When you back up and reset it backs up apps, files, media, setting, numbers to your Cloud storage, or you can back up to pc or ad card. I did a reset on my HTC handset due to virus infection! It's no stress and won't take very long. The phone will then do a few auto updates to get apps up to later versions. You can disable it from doing that! Hope that helps mate!
