Just changed my City calendar over to Sept (been away and just got back) and couldn't help but notice that our September man is Sam Baldock. He will be the last monthly player(s) who is still actually with us this season. The times they are a changing. Now don't get too excited after the happenings of yesterday.
Mike I'm not digging at you, but when you see the players now live compared to the past I think you will be impressed. We won't get promoted this year, if we do that will be a bonus, but next season is when we will be ripping teams apart. My worry is the fans will expect it this year and turn before we have improved. Or we get promoted too soon and struggle in the Championship again.
I see the Daily mail is attacking Bristol fans again rubbish reporting as usual they don't seem to know that GJ is no longer the manager at AG which just about sums up their entire football knowledge outside of the London premiership clubs.
I will now consider us possibly not even making the play off's, although it's still early days, but anything below 8th or so in this division come the end of the season still wont be acceptable.
I remember seeing a letter written by a Portsmouth fan, when they first started having their troubles. He had been given a calendar as a present for Christmas and saw that there were only 4 players on the calendar still at the club!
No offence taken ROD because I was just pointing out that the long needed change of players was highlighted by the calendar monthly players who have left the club and I got the impression listening to last night's game that the changes are already having the benefit needed on the pitch, and a few more games could see us become a bigger and better force in this division. Not expecting any miracles but I just want us to become proud of our beloved team again after the last few seasons of uncommitted players and poor results. Looks to me as if we could be well on our way back to respectability.
We won't get promoted EVER until we find a Tony Adams type to run the defence. Sorry if that sounds negative but I AM negative. Back in bloody league 1 after all GJs good work and not even able to beat ANYONE yet in this piss-poor league. Shocking and embarassing. Sorry ill get my coat.
