Samed Yesil has been on fire for the German under 19's.

    Those are some impressive stats.

I dont think it will be long until this guy is mingling with a first time on a regular basis.

Even to have played 32 times at German youth level is impressive at only 18. Scoring 31 goals in that time is incredible.

The lad definately has potential. But I must point out that Nemeth had similar stats for Hungary ...

Nemeth was never given a chance. I know MFG has his knob firmly up Rafa's arse, but this is one place Rafa went wrong.

I like Borini and think he will come good, anyone who works that hard deserves a bit of patience.

Hard work will get you nowhere if you don't have the skill to back it up, which i think he does have but isn't being utilised on the wings.

I think he has the skill. he just needs a bit of luck in front of goal. I agree that he should be played up front though. He reminds me of Kuyt with his work rate but has more skill, I think he'll be a good player for us for years to come.

Rafa and youth is always an interesting debate. I think he was keen to give youth a chance if they were ready e.g. Insua. However, he had a squad of senior internationals. There was no need for him to call on the youngsters in the same way Rodgers has to. Plus, I don't think we had youth players as good as Sterling and Suso at that time? I may be wrong.

Re. Borini - I think he will succeed if he plays as a CF. He's not the type to do tricks on the ball and dribble past players. He will find spaces, create spaces, keep defenders occupied and will eventually be the man on the end of the balls. <ok>

There is a big difference between scoring those goals for Hungary and scoring them for Germany.

Nemeth probably did have much competition for his place. But I bet there are some good talents eyeing up that striker position that Yesil plays.

    1. I am sure that rodgers will give him his chance.

    2. the guy needs to learn scouse, he needs some time.

    3. stats are one thing but lets be frank we got to see him once and he was not at the senior level just yet. He's got a few things to improve on... like physicality and getting on the end of things in the senior domain..... he needs to adjust to a lot of things so u19 goals are great and all that but it needs to translate. Pacheco for spain u19s is a perfect example.

    4. if

    mclaughlin wisdom sama robinson
    shelvey coady suso
    morgan yesil sterling

we all to make it through as player for the top 4 that'd be amazing wouldn't it? they all have a "chance" but only a few will be able to take it due to their latent ability, lukc, timing and such.

a lot of hype for goood reason given his tour showing.

I forgot ibe in that team andn sinclair and n'goo.....

i think comparing nemeth to yesil is like comparing issac newton with an apple to einstein with thought expereiments... there is no comparision as thier ciscumstances are entirely different.just cos nemth 5 years ago didn't get a chance doens't mean anything today... we may as well be back in the 70s talking alun evans or someone.
