    After the shambles of Saturday.

This team that beat palace have earned the right to start at Sunderland.

Luke Steele what a keeper class kept us in the game early doors.

    Matty Taylor fantastic.

    Maggs was fantastic.

LJ play them again Saturday supurb performance tonight.

They have earned the right too keep their shirts.

I don’t know what game you watched, but Maggnasson was turned inside out by Sakho all night. And he was at fault for leaving that player who cracked the crossbar.

Steele was ok but his distribution is on par with Fielding. I would put them both on par, but some of his saves were impressive. But I wouldn’t say quick let’s drop Fielding he’s been better this season, and does seem to have the backing of our players.

Why they deserve it Saturday was pathetic from the 1st minute to the last minute.

Still would not drop Reid for Taylor. You’ve been dying for Reid to fail so you can say “told you so”.
Until Djuric came on last night Taylor was just running into players, Djuric opened the game up. He took his goal well but I would like to know what happened with the miss before that.

Fielding’s saves like Steele’s have kept us in games this season. But at least it looks like he’s got competition and would not be surprised if his league start comes soon.

But the question was that you haven’t answered is “what game was you watching to say Magnusson was fantastic”

Only saw the highlights (from my bedroom) but Sako looked like a decent player for them and the only one of their team who still displayed any hunger or class after we equalised. Perhaps we could mount a cheeky bid in the January window ;)

He did alright for the last 20 mins when he moved inside one, before that he was a woeful liability. by the time he started to look better Palace were shot and out of the game!

Still he's lovely on twitter so lets get him a game eh!

Didn't think Mags stood out for better or for worse personally, Brownhill and Bryan were class all night though.

I must have watched a different game to some of the Steele fans. I thought he looked incredibly shakey, although he did make an amazing low save in the second half. Every time he made a save or a punch he made me nervous as the ball just rebounded in all sorts of directions.

Definitely not the same team for me against Sunderland please - Frankie back in and also a different player at CB, Flint was at fault for the goal conceded and it was the defence which was the only part of the team that didn't stand out for me.

Steele looked a bag of nerves in the first half and his handling/catching was frankly woeful. He was better second half and it was a great save too.

I thought Magnusson was also very poor in the first half, but he did improve and look more assured after the break.

    Who is different gravy?
We are talking about Magnusson in case you've gone even more dafter.

Steele to me always seemed to let the ball bounce of him then collect the ball.
Players and coaches will watch that and send someone in to punish it.
Yes he made two decent saves but like I said between the two if Steele gets his chance fair enough but at the moment it's Fielding for me.
Taylor is ok he hurrys players took his goal well but before Djuric introduction was a bit of a headless chicken.
So I'm at a loss to who is "different gravy"
But you've set your stall out by first of all claiming Magnusson was class last night because I definitely did see a different game to you. And going on others comments I watched the same as them.

    LJ said it himsef.
The team is being picked by the physo right now
Its not about who is best, or what tactics to employ
Its about who can run, turn and think clearly

Fielding has proved himself to be an outstanding servant of this club.
We are lucky to have him, and long may he reign

    Prefer Fielding to be honest

Maggs and Tay were fantastic, and have earned a go in the team, as has O'Dowda. Pisano is not quite ready yet, and maybe needs to play himself back into the side
Its a brave man who would rest Bobby Reid though, so there is the dilemma. I guess its whoever links and works best alongside Duric - Reid or Taylor (or even both, sitting behind Duric, which rules out Patto)

    Smith makes the difference
Sooner we have him back the better

Nathan Baker, our best defender by a country mile is Fit and available. He starts. Sorry Mags but you have to be as good as or better than the current back 4 and he’s not quite there. He isn’t terrible but he shouldn’t be starting over Baker or Bryan
