Just come back from my hols and i see the same things happening at Sunderland and the same negative rants on here. the beginning of the transfer window we all knew we wanted a striker, we were linked with D.J Campbell J.Boothroyd N'Gogg Bendtner even Crouch The majority of Sunderland fans had something to say against any of these strikers signing for Sunderland. There is 1 day left and we are linked with even worse Samoras Macheda Now we are desperate so how many of you would take one of the above now Ill say what i said months ago I still say sign Sturridge I still think we will sign a striker I am a Bruce fan but Sunderland fans will not forgive him a second season if our failings are down to lack of goals. I don't know anything about Helmes but im hoping he succeeds in bringing someone in or i feel the anti bruce brigade will want him out at xmas and they may succeed.
I have just said on another thread that if we swapped Gyan for Pav and Krancjar and signied Cisse outright, I'd be one happy little bunny. Gyans body language isnt going to get any better after the window closes IMO and he looks kike a player who wants to be somewhere else (London) so let him go so long as we do this deal. Whether the 2 Spurs lads or the Senegalise lad WANT to come is of course another thing altogether. Maybe if we sign Cisse on his own and have 3 African players, Gyan will buck his ideas up a bit and start to play like he did before his injury last season. Bellamy (loan or deal) and Cisse (bought) would do for me.
