Compare the rambling and moaning from canary call the other week to this from the not so distant past

I think these people go in and out of hibernation like the creatures from "pitch black"

Heres another one for your viewing pleasure. It's funny to look back on these but my god, I can't actually listen to it live anymore. It's not the moaning when we lose or do poorly that bothers me. It's the moaning when we WIN that gets me!! who ARE these people and why do they call EVERY WEEK??!

I'm pretty sure the club could sue this guy if it had made any sense, love his consideration for "poor Glen Roeder"

Yeah, poor son of a bitch...

I've never listened to Canary Call, and I can see that I wasn't wrong to opt out.

'He ooowen a lotta musements' <laugh>

OK, it's funny in retrospect, but people like this should just go and do something else that doesn't upset them so much. Oh, and sympathising with Roeder, the worst Manager I've known in a long history of supporting City, well....Classic.

    Quote from the pinkun

Great, isn't it. I'm sure the people that can't get to carrow road because of distance/money/circumstance feel a lot better that this guy isn't going because he hasn't got the ****ing nads to go to a game. Pathetic.

As pathetic as it may be to the majority, he's still entitled to his opinion and if it's it what they really believe then no matter what, the mind-set isn't going to change. I don't always agree with what a number of Canary Callers say but then I don't always disagree either.

Hell, I have done my share of moaning this season, not to the same extent admittedly but all the same I have voiced some discontent over what is happening on the field in recent months. Shoot me down, and others that have said the same, we see what we see and it's not pleasing. The only difference is I don't call Canary Call to discuss it, I come on here.

Live and let live and all that <ok>

I do agree though that some must have been let out for the weekend <laugh>

The moaning is to be expected. It is football after all, but doesn't it make you angry that this guy is just bailing out and just plain refusing to go? I know people that would bend over backwards to go and can't for whatever reason. Refusing to go is surely to be reserved for mass hysteria.

Like you said - It is football after all.

Football seems to breed irrational behaviour throughout the generations, that and tribalism. Refusal to go is extreme I grant you but having done it myself when Chase sold Sutton it is almost impossible for me to criticise (It took 3 years and constant nagging from a friend to get me back). We all have our limits, they are just different. Not sure what it would take you to stop going, maybe you could never stop but that's what I thought some years ago.

Actually, using the film thread as an example - How many times would you watch a totally crap movie? I guess not more than once?

Yeah, but you know the film is going to be crap the next time you see it. With football your team can always turn it around. I sincerely hope anyone deliberately missing this game misses something special, like Johnson finally hitting the target with a shot and it taking the net clean off.

What annoys me most is that these people will be back when we beat Everton. I can't stand these ultra fickle part timers.

As an aside, there's a wonderful audio clip on the BBC Football site of a Coventry 'supporter' complaining about a boring 0-0 draw. He drones on and on, while the host tries to get a word in; finally telling him that Coventry had won with 2 late goals. It turns out that he and his mate left early!

It is encouraging to know its not just us isn't it? The amount of people I've sen leave early in recent years and miss mentally crucial goals!

I don't think I could live with myself if I'd have left early and missed simeons goal against derby.
