Seems there has been an offer for Samba by Spurs with Bassong as a makeweight...

Hmmmmm thats two potential signings gone in one swoop....

Ridgewell also looks like going to Wolves on eurosport reports.

I am praying any deal happens tbh as not in a great league position with our captain banned for three games, two of our better players going to African Nations Cup and Hulse on the bench.

I still think Bassong will sign for QPR. We want him, he wants us. Sign him up!

Bassong has looked shaky in his last few appearances. Alex is a better all round player...

I worry we find ourselves approaching February with all that money burning a hole in Neil's pocket and nothing to spend it on...

Samba was always a stretch too far.

If we get Alex then that would be better than Bassong. I still remember how laughable him and Bramble were at Newcastle.

    At least Blackburn are downgrading.

    (Must be feeling positive today)

I am worried also as this is really the first time he has been given a large-ish amount of cash to play with and hope he doesnt feel like a teenager with their first wage packet. If we also approach the end of the month with no players in will he panic buy.....

Occurred to me too Gold Mod. This is a real test of NW's ability to attract talent - can he sell the club, team and most importantly himself to the type of players we need? Think he needs a few signatures before Newcastle/ Wigan - if these go badly he may be seen as dead man walking.

Never understood the fuss over Bassong anyway, would love to get Alex and Ridgewell though.

Agreed, SB, once again we find ourselves in a position where the important action is off the pitch. Wouldn't mind being a fly on the boardroom wall at LR over the next two or three weeks. Pivotal to the rest of our season...
