However, England go down in history as allowing them to have the record for the fastest goal in WC qualifying history, scored in 1993 in 8.3 seconds, England ending the game 7-1 winners, Stuart Pearce getting skinned and needing another period of time under the paper bag from the pizza ad. 3 Spurs players on duty for this one who hopefully won't play, avoiding the desperate lunges of the part-time butcher, baker, and candlestick makers, and will return fit for Spurs next game a trip over the Severn Bridge to Swansea.
Mornin Spurf, I've no idea! I've been there though to watch the bike racing in Misano. Funny little place, no border control as I stayed in Cattolica on the coast a 5 minute drive away. Bring back the PL now. With F.A.Cup games and international breaks, some teams have only played 10 times since Boxing Day, yet played 19 times in the 4 months prior to that. Just when the pressure is being cranked up in the PL (for some), we have a two week break.......for a game against a pub team. International football is a bore.
Only semi-related, but I'll be fuming if Bale doesn't do a Giggs. By that I'm refering to dropping out of the Wales squad and not shagging his brother's wife, of course.
