Whenever I have a look to see how the academy are doing his name more often than not pops up on the score sheet. He seems like a good Young striking prospect so would people on here rather we spent £5m-£6m on Jay rod/ Maynard or would we rather see us promote from within?? Doble or Hoskins, I prefer the later.
P.S he has just scored for the U21 against brentford

We've never really given the chance for a striker to come through like Chamberlain and Lallana etc and other players that I could name and Doble and this Sam Hoskins look like they could be breaking into the first team in seasons to come. No need to spend £3-6million on a player that isn't really better then anyone we've got already?

Suppose that taking the subs down to 5, further decreases their chances of getting in the squad of 16. But, we should play some youngsters like Hoskins in the cup tie against either Bristol City or Swindon. That would really boost their confidence and then maybe send them out on loan for them to get more experience.

Yh I would like to see NA give some young'ns a game in that petty competition to give us a glimpse of the future and some much needed game time. Also that 5 sub rule really is ******ed whatever were they thinking eh.

Believe it or not, I used to play in the same football team as Sam Hoskins. He was forced out when we joined the tyro for being a year younger than everyone else but before then he used to score 5/6 goals a game.

His nickname was 'Little Sam' and mine was 'Big Sam' (no relation to Mr Allardyce)
