Just been reading on OTIB with a thread saying, Baldock doesn't fit into our team. I rate Baldock and believe that if he had a Taylor playing alongside him he will score plenty of goals. JET does not suit Sam's game, he plays to far away from him. Baldock just ain't tall enough to challenge for these high balls coming towards him, JET won't win in the air allowing Sam to run off him. I watched JET not feeding Baldock. There was one move where if JET played the ball in from the right just in front of the defenders Baldock could of scored a tap in. But he squared it back to an oncoming player who hit it over the bat. This is one example of many where, the two are not gelling. It's my opinion that if SoD survives this, he needs to change things to suit Baldock otherwise I can see a transfer request coming in soon. We would of never played super Bob this way or Cole, let's use the best of what we have.
Sorry ROD I disagree, At the beginning of the season those 2 were scoring and setting each other up for fun, Its gone dry at the moment but they have proved they can play together. Its the team as a whole at the moment, Along with a hopeless manager
I agree with you ROD and its so painfully obvious it is one of the things that is a massive negative for me about SOD, JET is a luxury player we just can't afford at the moment Sam was running his balls off last night to try to do a job for the team that he clearly isn't cut out to do. Harewood did well last night and scored within a couple of minutes of getting out there. It's time for a change. JET aint cutting it.. Oh and SOD ****in change it about now and then, theres nowhere in the 5 pillars that says no subs till 80 mins. it was crying out for a change up front..You're getting on my nerves now..!!
Just over a year ago, we had Baldock, a player that numerous fans rated, and a player that most West Ham fans rated above Nicky Maynard. Now, he's at the bottom of League 1, and just isn't scoring. He looks like a League 2 player to me. He might regain his edge at another team, but he's just not performing the way he should be at Bristol City.
But there is even more to it than that. Yes he's a luxury player, but because we are so lacking in creative ability in general, JET is also a single point of failure and when he's not in the mood the team create virtually nothing.
