if anyone has iplayer watch his interview, sums up the club in a nutshell, he looks heart broken like he is about to burst into tears. He also talks about how players have come out so to speak and talk about their downfall and how they can get out of this slump, players have also come out with different formations and tactics..

Proves how terrible the manager is when players talk about tactics and formation. Feel sorry for baldock. Doesn't get long enough in the team along with davies. This is exactly why I question McInnes as they are the 2 best strikers at the club but rarely start? Johnson would of loved to have strikers like this when he was in charge

he doesn't suit the players we have, he needs passes on the floor from quality midfielders playing constant through balls

Instead he has fontaine hoofing it up to him aimlessly

Then why play fontaine? Danns is good enough to play the quality balls through to the strikers. Why McInnes opts to play a striker who has scored 1 goal all season in favour of davies and baldock is mind boggling

    Christmas period crucial for Baldock

Striker hopes City can take advantage of Wednesday's poor form.

Sam Baldock admits the Christmas period will be crucial if City are to climb the npower Championship table.

The Robins visit Hillsborough on Saturday (December 8th, 3pm) looking to take advantage of a Sheffield Wednesday side who have lost their previous six games.

Derek McInnes’ men looked to have put their recent bad form behind them with impressive performances in the last three games and picking up four points in the process.

“We are confident in our own ability and we know we are good enough to beat teams in this league,” Baldock told Bristol City Player.

“We showed against Blackpool when we were on a similar run to Sheffield Wednesday’s, you have to come out fighting. The crowd will be behind them but we will look to frustrate them early on.

“It is during December when people start to look at the table and look at the relegation candidates. As it stands we are in the relegation zone but it is up to us to get out it. We must be fully focused on Saturday and go out there looking to get the right result.”

Baldock has found it hard to break into the first team in recent weeks with McInnes opting to play a 4-5-1 formation, with a target man in the sole attacking role.

The striker added: “When I arrived here I said I was looking forward to playing games and scoring goals because I had enough of sitting on the bench last season (with West Ham).

“The formation the manager has decided to play in recent weeks has obviously meant I've had to wait for my chance. No footballer likes being left out, but I’m determined to get into the team again.

“I’ve always been more effective when playing with a strike partner. If I was to play there on my own it would take a bit of a different approach – we would have to be more patient and look to play in behind defences.”

You all know whats going to happen right? We will win against the wendys, then lose the next 5 games in row, but that one victory means his job is safe.

I was a firm believer in Taylor, he did show he deserved a place when he scored he had 2 games where he "lived up to expectations" but the last 5 or 6 even I cannot believe he starts!!!"!!"

I wouldnt believe too much in the comments the players dictating the " formations" ALTHOUGH THEY may have their own ideas and discuss them freely amongst themselves possibly even with the management...the managers decision is what goes on the field and it does not say yhey disagree......

Bloody shame he isnt then !!

And whose fault was that ? The fans, who thought they could run a club better than him (or whose own boring lives needed an antidote)
