    This silly season lark is really great fun if you like playing fantasyNUFC in your head
    although if there's any grounding in reality behind half the rumours, the planets seem
    to be aligning up nicely for us!!

    Definitely time to wave goodbye to Smithy, not going to get near the first team next season, sounds perfect for West Ham as well - overpaid and over the hill. Appreciate the effort he's put in but the quality isnt there.

    Yeah, we should look to get rid of him this summer. Good character to have in the dressing room, but will get nowhere near the first team next season and is probably on about £60k a week.

    He would be decent in the Championship with Fat Sam.

    I don't hate Smith, but his wages are ridiciulous. Can't wait for him to go.

    Smithy's free'd up wages could be handy for another decent player that actually get's a game,
    especially the likes of Joey and Kevin if that's the sticking point with their new contracts. Money
    paid for Smithy as well is a bonus really!! Yay
