The Ammies upset the odds by knocking out Preston on penalties in the previous round, but the league tells a different story. They've lost two of out their last three games including a 2-1 home loss against Accrington Stanley at the weekend, and currently lie 10th in League two on seven points from five games. Just like he did against Shrewsbury Town in the opening round, Daniel Farke is expected to ring in the changes. Drameh, Cresswell, Greenwood, Gyabi, Hjelde, Greenwood, Bate and Gelhardt will all be hoping to be named in the starting XI. Summerville was an unused substitute at the weekend, and may be recalled. Sonny Perkins has joined Oxford Utd on a season long loan, whilst Povada, James, Bamford, Dallas, Cooper, Joseph and Firpo remain absent through injury. Leeds reached the 3rd round of the league Cup last term, before being knocked out by Wolves; can they progress even further this season? please log in to view this image The two sides have only ever met once before; which was four years ago in the opening round of the Caribou Cup. On that day, goals from Nketiah, Berardi and Klich made it a comfortable night for the Whites.
This game is the last chance FARKE gets to make his mind up about Shackelton, will Poveda be back, Hjelde, Gelhardt, Greenwood, Drameh, Gyabi, Bate, Jenkins etc. Archie needs a rest, Darlow needs a game don’t risk Piroe. Jenkins was actually on loan there last season
Not interested in this Mickey Mouse cup and the sooner we're out of it the better. As long as we don't lose on Tuesday of course
Line up for Tuesday; Darlow Drameh, Cresswell, Dunno, Hjelde Gyabi, Greenwood, Bate Dunno, Joffy, Dunno Need to focus on the League as we saw what happened last year to Summerville & Rodrigo playing against cloggers.
Though priority must be the league, I reckon it gives an opportunity for Farke to rest the odd payer, but to also help build confidence with another win, plus the opportunity to help our defence sort out some of the issues. Just playing together should help with that, together with some proper coaching. I’d give Drameh a go at right back just to hopefully add to his sale value. Otherwise play Shacks there. I’d give Archie a rest. I’d play Gnonto/Sini/Rutter and Cry up top. I understand the importance of avoiding injury, but if Piroe is cup tied he’s safe from injury, and even we would be unlucky if 2 out of 4 got injured. My only issue is LB, because sadly we don’t have a f***ing left footed left back available. MOT
Yep winning breeds confidence and confidence breeds winning. Look at Ipswich last year and the start of this year. They got on a roll.
Should have stuck with the league cup when we took all competitions seriously even winning it in 1968. Throwing the towel in before we even play the game is one of my pet hates especially as we ended up in an even more downward spiral by doing that. Winning breeds winning.
Totally agree. Unfortunately not one club takes them seriously which makes both Cup competitions more like reserve League matches.
My team; Darlow Drameh, Cresswell, Hjelde, Shackleton Gyabi, Bate Summerville, Greenwood, James Gelhardt
Agree with that, apart from Shackleton. Really impressive at LB so don’t want him picking up an injury. Stick Dunno at LB.
what i like is you can stand on the balcony bar or on the east terrace or north stand plus the seats below the bars are free.no parking to find as i live near the ground so walk in.
You get the odd really good player at that level too among the distinctly average cloggers (like me).
