Possibly as he's just lost 150 million due to Debenhams.

or he'll be glad for any "reasonable" offer now that he's £150m down. Not an insignificant amount of money no matter how ****ing loaded you are.

He'll just sell a few players andvslend nowt ...

Call me goofy but mike Ashley strikes the as the kind of guy that if he bought you a sandwich he'd ask for the money back the following day.

Couldn't help but laugh my head off that he's lost £150m. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bloke.

Losing a £150 million is bound to put him in a good mood, isn’t it.
Priceless timing as per the norm.
I would love to believe that the club is on the verge of being sold, but it really feels like Ashley will hang on all the tighter now, in an effort to recoup his losses.

Arthur Blank very recently sold a %age of shares in the Atlanta Falcons for about $300m. He was heavily linked with the club in December.

hard to know. depends on whether cash flow is imperative or whether he can hang on for the long term

He has started this a bit early this year. Mike should have stuck to his successful end of season pissed promises to win something or sell something. Going this early could see the rumours peter out by the time the window opens.

TBH I was starting to think it had been so quiet that something might be in the offing but now this twat has come out with that I doubt it!

Seriously though, its when they are all running around shouting about a sale that I don't believe it and as I say it has been ominously quiet recently so maybe, just maybe, Kitson does know something - very bold claims if he doesn't TBH considering he's meant to be involved in the business side of it all. Probably the most serious I've taken any report of the club selling in the last 24 months.

Anyone know though if old ginger nut has any affiliation to ****e direct an co?

Arthur Blank whose representatives categorically stated at the time he had zero interest? That coupled with 5-10 years of this ****ing ruse lead me to expect the status quo to remain for quite some time. How does he keep people lapping this up? I know we are desperate to see the back of him but come on people <laugh>

A wise man. Rafa will be here in August. Mike will be here in August. We won't do enough prior to the season in the transfer market. There you go I've saved everyone a lot of time. Rinse and repeat. Mike's attitude will be "if it ain't broke..."

There is simply not a chance of Ashley selling up. He needs his cash cow more than ever now.
He has failed to get Debenhams at this point, but it doesn't mean he never will.
Ashley is hell bent on ruling the high street just as it's falling flat.
Shops are closing every day but Ashley will continue to use the Premier league money spooned up by Newcastle United.
