I'm on a roll, so thought I'd get this up promptly. Southampton are on fire atm, they play some fantastic football and I see them being too intense and simply too good for us. I'm afraid I'm going for a comfortable home win. 3-1 saints
Is this the texted version? No date when game is being played. No venue mentioned. No time mentioned as to kick off. Have you been taught by Ponytail? Similar type post lacking in quality and detail.
Just don't give away free kicks in our half - that's all he did yesterday. Actually reckon this could be a good game for us. The game I saw where they really got stuffed was Spurs sitting back and hitting them on the counterattack to devastating effect. They play a very high pressing game and leave big gaps in behind. Team we played yesterday would be ideally set up to play them.
Ings will be playing in this one I reckon. His knee scan revealed no ligament damage and the club have confirmed it's not swollen so he's expected back in training.
Depends I think that might look at their position and make a decision to rest him personally.. That would be wise one game rest then the international break... Bruce would throw him out there, but maybe their manager has sense?
I think he's a top player ward prouse and free kicks are the cherry on top, but yes don't give them away makes sense and that's hard to do because they know what he can do and look to win them in the areas he's dangerous from. Im not sure we deal well with a high press, but I agree we should look to counter. I think villa employed that tactic yesterday, but were caught out by 3 tremendous goals
Saints fan here. Highly doubt he'll play on Friday. No serious damage but he is injured still. Saints won't gamble his long term health on one game.
Southampton certainly have goals in them though. So this could be a tricky game for us. We typically create very few real opportunities per game and have been fortunate that most have been converted. With regards to not giving away free-kicks in dangerous areas, I just hope that Lascelles and Shelvey are both out injured for this one. Otherwise it will be a horror show. Both are too slow and prone to mistakes against a team that can move the ball quickly like Southampton.
Bertrand injured his hamstring yesterday plus Bednarek picked up a head injury. In short, could be a good time to play us.
