With Ulloa submitting a transfer request, I doubt he will be in the squad otherwise aside from those in Africa, we have the full squad to chose from as Vardy has recovered from his cold and should be fit enough be be on the bench. Southampton might have one eye on their League Cup semi final and might rest a few players so hopefully we will pick an attacking team but I am predicting a draw.
Leicester Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Mendy Ndidi Drinkwater Okazaki Vardy Gray Substitutes Chilwell Musa King Albrighton Kapustka Zieler Benalouane Benalouane has finally been given a shirt number (29) and is on the bench. Okazaki will be directly facing his best mate Yoshida who plays as CB which should be interesting as well.
Far from impressed atm....... with games coming up, we need to break our away duck here, don't look a TEAM effort up to now ? 2-0 ffs
Have never come on your board to take the piss etc. so this is a genuine question...what is the problem for Leicester at the moment? Last season you were exciting to watch until xmas and then you were near impossible to beat ... this season youbhave played 3 or 4 decent matches in the league...just do not get it. My father in law is a fan so I have kept an eye out for you results for the last 20 yrs or so and want you lot to do well...apart from last season
1) ageing centre backs who both enjoyed career swansongs last season. 2) Selling kante without properly replacing him 3) A striker who has one good season his entire career at the age of 28 and is suddenly one of the best in the world? Give me a break. Clearly a one season wonder. 4) No mahrez = no creativity. If he'd picked up a medium-term injury last season, would they have won the title? 5) Lack of adequate cover for Schmeichel 6) A strange, almost indifferent attitude towards the league that permeates the entire club down from Ranieri himself to the fans at home. They had a net spend of over £30m in the summer yet still have a small club mentality. 7) Would love them to win the champions league and get relegated. That would be epic.
Players have nothing to play for any more - most are nearing the end of their careers and have big contracts so the desire is lost. Hopefully they will prove me wrong and be like last season where we came back from 2-0 down at half time.
Quite simply I don't think the players are bothered anymore. We should have learnt from Southampton themselves and rebuilt. Too much faith shown to the crop from last season who haven't repaid the faith IMO
1) We were saying that last season 2) Our replacement got injured in his first game - am not saying Mendy would have been anywhere near Kante's level but actually playing might have helped 3) To be fair unlike other one season wonders, he was consistant across the whole season rather then for just a period like Ighalo but the story was bigger then the player in the end. 4) We had teams mark him out of the game and the likes of Drinkwater stepped up - this season no one is. 5) Never had since he joined us - thought Zeiler might be but not on the evidence so far. 6) Lets be honest, we are a small club - kudos on the owners for not making the mistakes Leeds and Blackburn made. 7) I know plenty of people who have put a couple of quid on that happening.
Good question RCL..... My take is a mixture of reasons that have combined to make a perfect storm ! 1, Loss of Kante. 2. Rewarding certain players with mega bucks deals and not others. 3. Tinkerman has now tinkered too much with both personnel and formation . 4. Priorities appear to be given to champions league ? 5. Lack of team spirit due to most of the above ! In conclusion we must now accept that we are in a relegation battle and need to get back to how we were last season or we're in trouble !
That was an utter shambles. It was not even a performance worthy of a Premier League team. Gave the ball away far too cheaply and too often. We can't even get a ball under control before we ping it off at any height and direction and hope someone in a blue shirt can pick it up. Basically we resorted to hoofball in the end. Full backs/midfield never stopped crosses coming into the box where we now look so vulnerable. Played far too deep and let Saints have two thirds of the pitch. Until Albrighton came on Gray was the only player who looked capable of creating chances but his decision making in the first half was awful. Okazaki totally ineffective and Fuchs would probably have been taken off if so many other players hadn't been just as bad. Claudio is now under pressure. We look brittle at the back and didn't create a single scoring opportunity up front. We look the worst team in the league at the moment. Apart from those few minor issues it's all looking rosy!
