A few years ago it would have been Chelsea v Stoke. A **** game but as a big club is involved they are shown first. Now they put games in order of amount of action. Pleased that Saints game is first.
No problem. For future reference go on Gary Lineker's twitter page after the games have finished and he tweets the running order.
Not a mention for Ramirez by Lawro and Saggy, and Rickie is described as "a bit like Grant Holt". Scandalous.
Also Lawro mentioned how Villa 'completely dominated' the first half. With that and the lack of Ramirez chat, I'm glad he watched thoroughly...
Quote about Lambo, "If they can keep him fit!" What? OK He was blowing a bit after 89 minutes! Still had enough oomph to blast in the penalty.
Just posted this on the Ramirez thread but more appropriate for this one: No mention of Ramirez on MOTD! Great focus on Rickie but I swear Lawrenson must have begged his director not to have to do a bit on Ramirez being so good because he had originally said we would never sign him.
He is 30, that's practically a pensioner! I don't believe any of the MOTD panel watched any of the game other than the highlights they showed. No mention of Davis, Lallana, Ramirez, or the difference when Clyne moved to the left. Just a back-of-a-matchbox analysis of Rickie which, although all of it was a reasonable summary, was incredibly simplistic.
Agreed. And they were condemning us to a certain relegation last week, now its 'give it ten games.' I expect the pundits to start picking on Reading this week, but I'll take no notice, because they just look at the league table, pick out a flaw & thats the height of it. Very little effort.
Well, so be it, much better than the crud we have been putting up with since the start of the season!
