As Tom's losing run came to a sad end on Saturday I'm going for it this week!

Huge game on Saturday which we can and should win. In my book we owe them a beating for taking the title away from us last season. I expect us to be unchanged and hopefully with a weeks rest after 3 big games in a week we will be back firing on all cylinders!IMO the pressure will be more on Reading than us. A defeat will leave them at least four points adrift from the pack and two wins behind us.

    Nigel has told the Echo

“We’re back at St Mary’s and home games are always important and will always be highlighted, We’ve been outstanding at St Mary’s and played some really good football, dominating games. “That’s where we’ve got to make sure we strive to pick up the three points in every game. “The next game is a derby game against Reading. “It will be a full house, a great atmosphere and a game that the players will be looking forward to.”

I'm very confident we can win this and start our climb up the table!

Onwards and upwards together as one!

    COYR!

I want to see Boruc come in as the only change. I didn't see thw whole liverpool game and understand Gazza didn't make any glaring errors however from the highlights on saintsplayer he still looks technically poor, particularly when one on one with suarez he jumped up into the air and made himself very small, it was only luck that the ball hit his leg and went out for a corner, it was absolutely dreadful technique. One on ones is something that Boruc has been very good at.

We should win this game, going for a 2-1 Saints victory as a conservative estimate. Can see us destroying reading like we should have done to Newcastle.

The same team again for me. Divided loyalty with this one as a Berkshire boy but my heart says Saints to edge it 4-3.

I hope Gaston's family reasons weren't too serious. Hope he's back, but family comes first. Even without him, I think we will win 2.1 or 3.1 (fingers firmly cossed).

    Southampton v Reading |

Referee: J Moss; Assistants: D C Richards, J Brooks; Fourth official: M Naylor.

I think he did the Villa match.

Only ref to give us a penalty (in the league) this season then!

Let's not rely on the ref. We can beat Reading with or without Saint Gaston! We should have beaten them twice last season and will win Saturday!

In the Championship match earlier this season we utterly dominated and still managed to contrive a loss. I think it'll be different this time. A cagey, nervous affair, but one we should win (2-1, Fonte heads in from a corner on the 73rd minute), which'll set us up comfortably for Fulham and Sunderland, so that we can spend Christmas outside the relegation zone.

Would love Fonte to score have backed him in the last two home games at 33's. Gutted when that header hit the bar!

Another must win game i think they could all fall into that catergory between now and new year as our fixtures in Jan and Feb look worse than what we had at the start of the season. Still i got a bad feeling and i think we will get a point at best.

If we keep the momentum going and manage to get a decent number of points from the next few games, I would hope we would have increased confidence in the next round of tougher games. Points off Arsenal would go down a treat.

We really need to win this one. I think we are better than last season and Reading aren't. So I'll say we are going to win. I'd like it to be easy, but we don't usually do easy now, do we? I think we suffered last week with 3 games and as lamb says the rest will mean we're back to form.

If we can score more than 1 and keep a clean sheet then that would be perfect.

Looking back we did pretty well to get a point against a well in form Norwich side. This on the other hand is a completely different ball game, we really need to win this to prove we have realistic chances of survival.

I will be gutted if we don't win this game, a loss is simply unthinkable.
