    2-1 Saints now - Jason Puncheon almost scored a third and was involved in both their goals. Great left sided player.

    Never did this for us - I guess it is just a matter of confidence and having the opportunity to play.

    Saints off the hook after their stupid defensive play - Van Persie too clever by half with his penalty attempt.

    Woy is there - crowd shouting "Lambert for England". Perhaps a good replacement for Andy Carroll?

    "Lambert for England" is the chant from the St Mary's stands. Why not? If Jay Bothroyd is an England striker, so is Rickie Lambert.

    2-2 Van Persie. My heart is with Saints (as a boy I used to go to some of their home games at the Dell), but a draw or loss certainly suits us better.

    Injury time winner for RVP and a hatrick, were off the bottom and hes the captain of my fantasy so it means double points for me.

    Shame about the penalty miss.
