Davis - 7, had a good game, outstanding save in 2nd half but his distribution could be better
Richardson - 6, was ok, however he seemed a bit off the pace for me
Fonte - 8 MOM, was absolutey outstanding again, faultless
Seaborne - 6, his distribution for me really isn't good, generally it's hoof and that's it
Harding - 7, a good return to the team, was good going forward
Stephens - 6, similar to Richardson
Hammond - 6, again similar to Stephens and Richardson
Guly - 7, was again inconsistent, however was more good than bad today
Lallana - 7, not his usual self, however not his fault as he always had 4 men on him
Lambert - 7, was his usual self up top
Connolly - 7, was everywhere today, very impressive

    SUBS
Chaplow - 6, a couple of woeful passes
Forte - 5, hardly touched the ball
Martin - 6, looked composed when he had the ball, ableit not much

I think its a bit unfair to judge forte and martin on such a short space of time I sit in itchen south and as such got to see forte when he came on he was in some great positions but got overlooked a lot.

Agree with Lallana comments not his usual self purely because he'd clearly been highlighted pre match as our main threat and was constantly doubled or tripled up on.

Lambert was brilliant today as was connoly both 8s i reckon lambert touch then distribution was fantastic and connolys work ethic was more than admirable.

I think if fonte was faultless (and i agree he was) he should be a ten, which leads me onto my next point that guly was brilliant today and showed some real flair he was an 8 at least probably a 9 but no one was better than fonte so his ratting should be higher.

Overall a fairly accurate assessment though.

Got to disagree with several of your marks. Not sure if you were watching the same game as me but I guess it is only an opinion.
Kelvin lost his voice so an 8 for him for commanding without his voice.
I have put your comment first then my opinion just for fun next to it :

Davis - 7, had a good game, outstanding save in 2nd half but his distribution could be better - 8 thought he linked up well with the back 4 & they played out from the defence really well. Looked to play the ball out of the defence keeping possession well not just launching it.
Richardson - 6, was ok, however he seemed a bit off the pace for me - 7 Good solid defending some good diags as play maker
Fonte - 8 MOM, was absolutey outstanding again, 9 or 10 faultless. agree if faultless why not a 10. ?? Drop 2 points somewhere in your eyes ? so you can't of thought him faultless
Seaborne - 6, his distribution for me really isn't good, generally it's hoof and that's it - 7 Good play maker. Solid defending. 1 ball that didn't hit his man in the second half. Linked up play with Davis & harding. Good return to LCB. Great left foot which is his advantage.
Harding - 7, a good return to the team, was good going forward - 7 Linked up well with seaborne on Left side great crosses into the box. Glad to see him back
Stephens - 6, similar to Richardson - 7 hit some great balls forward to link up attack
Hammond - 6, again similar to Stephens and Richardson 7 - worked hard as usual slightly out of the game in diamond formation towards the end
Guly - 7, was again inconsistent, however was more good than bad today 7- looked a threat & a handful. Less chances on goal good tap in when needed shame offside.
Lallana - 7, not his usual self, however not his fault as he always had 4 men on him. 8 - Welcome back Adam Class as usual love the little run at players & trickery.
Lambert - 7, was his usual self up top. 7 - Great pen but i felt didn't work as well with Connolly as Barnie of late. Lacked movement at times.
Connolly - 7, was everywhere today, very impressive 8 - Worked his backside off. Clever experienced player. Asset on the pitch

    SUBS
Chaplow - 6, a couple of woeful passes 7 - Did his job but a few reckless challenges, uncalled for that put us under pressure.
Forte - 5, hardly touched the ball. Can't score as not fair, as he only got 5+ mins
Martin - 6, looked composed when he had the ball, ableit not much. Can't score Martin only got 5 mins & only touched the ball once. Unfair to score him

Just my take for fun for what its worth.

Can't be arsed to rate everyone but i thought Guly was awsome! funny how we all see things differently but i thought lambert had a average game,he looked knackered! he got a goal and assist though so i'll take that.Lallana didn't look his fittest or sharpest but i'd take him in the team without being 100% fit anyday! Fonte was immense and i've voted for him for player of the season! All in all a pretty routine win thankgod! as i didn't want another last ten minutes like the brizzie rovers game!

I thought Seaborne was top notch today. He can spray a pass about for sure.

I would rate Dale Stephens 4, I don't think he passed it forward all match, alwasy to the side and backwards. Very frustrating.

    *Has promise in him though.

Can't make up my mind on Stephens. I think he has potential and will probably get better with help from Adkins. It will be interesting to see if he's done enough to impress Nigel. When he came there were suggestions he was up for a contract at end of season.

Davis - 7 - always making great saves but really needs to speed up with his distribution or improve it as it seemed rather poor today. Maybe im being a little critical but ya no.
Richardson - 6 - fairly ordinary, looked a threat going foward.
Fonte MOM - 8 - sublime. couldn't fault his performance.
Seabourne - 6 - looked okay at times but his distribution is sometimes poor.
Harding - 7 - looked solid but wasn't tested as such.
Guly - 8 - his sudden bursts of excellence surprise me. too inconsistant however but when he does his stuff, hes one of our best players.
Stephens - 6 - yet to see the best of him i think. still needs to latch on to our style of play.
Hammond - 6 - fairly quiet for his standards.
Lallana - 7 - showed some good skill and footballing brain but somewhat off the pace a bit.
Lambert - 8 - he may not be scoring goals as often as last season but his contribution to the team is excellent. i admire his attitude. always looking solid and a threat for deffences.
Connolly - 7 - some good runs, unlucky not to grab a goal.

Subs - unfair to judge them on the short time they spent on pitch.

Seaborne's distribution is far better than Jaidi's, and pretty good for a CB in general. He is only young and is a good leader. The guy has potential. He doesn't "hoof" it, lofts balls up to the strikers will lots of backspin to make them easier to control.

Cultured and promising would be the two words I would use to describe Danny.

Agree Seaborne looks good on the ball. Watched him today & he gave the ball away once with a long ball pass. Other than that thought his distribution was spot on. Think he has lots more to offer. Interesting you think he is Cultured & promising as other seem too hard on him. Think we sometimes forget he is still young.

    Catwomen ..............................Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Pompeymeowth - could be Bale (christian not Gareth) v Heath Ledger. Its whichever ones you want it to be.

Chosen because i have a serious sensible side where i like interllectual debate, batman, and i very much like a laugh and being a bit of a wum, ie the joker. Which one will appear?

Davis - 7 - not much to do but did it well apart from that one throw into touch!
Richardson - 7 - did nothing wrong, nothing spectacular
    Fonte - 8 - I love this man.
Seaborne - 7 - Solid. How good must it be playing with Jose though?
Harding - 7 - Got forward well, not much defending to do!
Stephens - 5 - Haven't seen him do anything that good yet. We go FORWARDS, mate.
    Hammond - 7
Guly - 8 - Everything went through him first half, unlucky not to score
Lallana - 8 Good game, as always our go-to man going forwards, especially once Guly came off
Lambert - 8 - Played well and you can't argue with winning and scoring a penalty and setting one up
Connolly - 7 - A bit quiet and outshone by the other players, still a great player though.

He has to be the man of the season does Fonte. Good to see that though there are some differences we seem in agreement about Jose and Adam.
