Saints U21s v Liverpool U21s Tonight

Saints Under-21s are playing Liverpool Under-21s in an U21 League Match at St. Marys tonight - FREE OF CHARGE!

For those of you who aren't going, it's being broadcast for free on Liverpool FC TV on Sky (Ch. 429), Virgin Media (Ch. 544) and probably on a feed online somewhere which I can't find right now.

Anyone on here going tonight? I'm going over, and quite looking forward to seeing the youngsters play.

 

I think I might go. Went to the U21s v Man Utd before they qualified for the elite stage but that wasn't a great game.

 

Oh and in case anyone didn't see my post about it in Beefs corner, or on the OS. Parking is £2 in the North car park on a first come first serve basis.

 

Interesting, Forren is in the squad for the game. Full squad is:

Ariyibi, Chambers, Curtis, Forren, Gazzaniga, Johns, McQueen, Moore, Robinson, Rowe, Seidi, Sinclair, Stephens, Targett, Turnbull, Ward-Prowse, Young

 

Going to be a hard game going by how the away fixture went.

 

Last game was men against boys, half the squad are only 17, there is a link on firstrow so will def watch

 

Been told by a Liverpool supporting mate that Sterling, Suso and Shelvey are playing. Can anyone confirm this?

 

Yep most of the liverpool u21's have actually played for their first team.

 

Good, one of our U21 players can injure them.

 

Evening all, Liverpool fan here.

Looking forward to tonight's game! We've hit a bit of a rough patch with two defeats in our last three games. Tottenham & Manchester United have beaten us whilst we were able to record a 2-1 victory over West Brom. Disappointing but the losses have been close games (1-0 defeat to Spurs & a 2-1 defeat against United) and we've created chances in those game so it's a case of finishing them off.

Suspect tonight's game will be a high-scoring one as we have a rather large injury crisis at the back with no left-back available and a couple of centre-backs injured or suspended.

I would say it's likely. None of them were involved in the Wigan game on Saturday and with our next game on Sunday, it could see them given a few minutes to boost match fitness and confidence.

All three did play against United last Monday.

Jonjo Shelvey & Suso are two names I would suspect a few of you will recognise from our team. Also Andre Wisdom is in at right-back. We do have a defensive type midfielder at left-back in Craig Roddan so your right winger (Whoever that may be) could get some joy.

Fairly even first 12 minutes.

No clear-cut chances for either side and most of the game being played in the middle of the park.
