An unusual 0-0 draw. A good result considering Arsenal had several 21 year olds including Miyaichi a Japanese international, Sanogo a French U21 international and Eisfield from Germany. All 3 have first team games under their belt. Saints had an average age of 19. The Arsenal cbs were huge. Great defensive work by Turnbull, Stephens, McCarthy and Young. Good to see versatile McQueen do 90 as a lone striker after a 9 month layoff. Still plenty of talent to come through.
