Saints U18 beat Fulham U18 2-0

Good performance against the side that had been topping the Academy A League. Sam McQueen and Joe Curtis scored. This is probably the line up that we will see on Monday in the Youth Cup v Sheffield Utd.

 

I think we should use some of these youngsters in the first team soon.

 

Same team have just beaten Arsenal 3-0 at Staplewood. Arsenal were top of the league after Saints beat Fulham. Keep it going lads. This could be your season.

 

We lost to Portsmouth recently, so I had to put up with comments like: thought you had a good academy. Feel better now.

Saints will have gone into 3rd place but having played 1 game more than most.

Hope there will be a good crowd for the Youth cup game v Sheff Utd last years finalists on 12th at St Mary's.

Joe Curtis is scoring a lot for aa midfielder. Where has he sprung from?

 

That Saints team was mostly the second string plus U16s playing up. There are several U18 playing with U21s now, Moore, McQueen, Stephens, Ward Prowse, Shaw and Chambers are only used for U18 when deemed necessary. Got it wrong that day.

 

Second year scholar came from Leicester at 16 I believe. Think his dad was a pro. Good left foot.

 

Someone called Ryan Seagar scored against Arsenal. Anyone know who he is?
