The deal where he gave £1m to Pompey for Begovic who then sold him to Stoke anyway was a particular highlight.
 
The oddest thing about the Astori saga is the fact that no one else has moved in at all, is our interest still ongoing or is the price just too high?

Palmeri said about a week ago that we had an offer for him flatly refused.

He's another complicated one because he's part-owned by Juventus. Very talented but struggled to break through at Juventus and viewed as one who couldn't really make the most of his natural ability, hence shipped off to Bologna in one of those classic Italian part-ownership deals where he's done well so far.

Who knows, maybe they'll hear we're buying Forren and get on the phone.

I can't really see us signing both though, they're both left-footed after all!
