Chaplow's a great guy too, but I feel like he'd have played yesterday if Adkins had any intention to keep him. He probably could have done a job as well, considering how magnificently he played in that cup tie against United two years ago.

He really isn't a Premier League quality player. Championship is his level.

I got so attached to the squad we've had over the last couple of years, that it sucks to see any of them leave. :( I miss Hammond and Sharp. Since Chaplow's injury he hasn't been the same which is a shame.

Probably Seabourne, De Ridder, Chaplow and Forte are the most likely, if a buyer can be found; Seabourne may be the hardest. Depends if we get a winger in of more potency than the knight!

Depends what sort of wages Seaborne is on. I agree that it might be hard to shift Seaborne to a Championship club, but I think L1 clubs would be lining up for him - if they believe they can pretty much meet his wage demands.

We should just ask over the phone how many legs he has? Two...great, you're playing against Villa.

P.s. Adkins says that as we have a gap (due to being knocked out of cup) the team may go and get a bit of sun. I'd like a holiday when i missed targets...I'd never be in the country<laugh>

Chappers was out on the pitch before yesterdays game having a fitness check, I am no expert but the body language wasn't all that promising.

Those sorts of players will be hard to shift since successive promotions have raised their wages to beyond what their ability merits. Chances are, we'll just send them on loan until their contracts run out.

Andy Carroll. £35m. That's what Premier League experience buys you. I'll take the foreign ability route thanks.....

I remember seeing that Real Madrid got Ozil and Khedira for the amount Milner cost Man City and still had a couple of million left over! Crazy premiums for English players.

I don't think it's so much inflated prices as it is ridiculously stupid decisions. City didn't have to pay that much for Milner, and if they were smarter they wouldn't have. Same with Carroll - the only reason he was worth £35m is that Liverpool were stupid enough to pay it. A player's value is determined by however much the largest amount any club is willing to pay for him is.
