After KD's clanger yesterday maybe we should get another keeper but who?

Green? clanger: Hart? clanger: He is not the only GK to make mistakes yesterday, trouble is we make one mistake and pay the price, others seem to get away with it. Shaw made two glaring errors yesterday, unthinkable I know, but it happens, he didn't let them phase him, there is a lot to applaud this lad for.

Very true Don but we are making a habit of it this season. No keeper is immune but ............

Keepers errors have cost us dearly this season.........We may have to bite the bullet and go for someone like Robinson, is it, who we were linked with earlier?
I am told though by someone who claims to know more than me....(not hard I know) he wouldn't give me a name but said we were looking at a keeper in his mid twenties who was proving his worth in the lower leagues.......Not much I know but has anyone any idea's?

Kasper Schmeichel?

They showed a mistake by Shaw on the highlights....fancy making a mistake at seventeen...and I bet no one wanted him dropped immediately. It's not someone's performance over the TV highlights or even over 90 min, it should be taken over several games. You also have to take in the competition for your place. I would stick with Kelvin...unless a super-GK is around (and I doubt that).

Well he was fine against Sunderland and Reading, and the mistake he made yesterday was the kind that keepers make all the time. I swear Kelvin could play 100 perfect games, and if he made one mistake on the 101st, half the people on here would be going "see I always said he wasn't good enough."

Yes maybe I was a bit swift there Joe. having watched extended highlights of the last two games the defence look less nervous with KD.

I am happy to stick with Kelvin. He's the one who the defence feel the most comfortable with, and I don't blame them! I **** myself every time balls come into the box with Gazzaniga in goal.

Reading had about one shot, as for Sunderland did any one else notice nearly all their shots were on the ground to the sides?. It's as if they knew something about Kelvin wasn't it?. But again Sunderland were poor as well, soon as we go against a team that actually shoot Kelvin will be in trouble again.

Shay Given.

Villa will want to get his wages off their books.

And they'd be out of their mind to help out one of their relegation rivals.

That said, based on Given's last 6 - 10 months, they'd actually be sabotaging their rivals by selling him to them! EURO 2012 seems to have shot him to pieces.

Really love that! Been my fave keeper of recent times.

The only thing that could put this off is Villa not wanting to sell to relegation rivals.

Brad Guzan has been excellent for them recently, despite conceding 12 goals in 2 games!

Given is sadly past it, I rated him but he is just another slow error prone goal keeper now.

I don't agree that Given is past it , maybe his confidence has taken a beating , but he is class . I would love him at Saints . Could possibly be good for Given as well ,a new club a new start if you like .

Each to their own i'd prefer some one like Kasper then Given.
