i agree, keep him till the summer. I don't know what wages he is on but we are getting great value from him at the moment.

Trouble is if Puncheon wants to go,then he seems to be the sort of player that can cause trouble, and go mouthing off on Twitter to try and force a move.

Where it's ok to disagree….

[h=2]Usmanov talks about Arsenal, Left back ‘heavily tipped’ to join us & Champions League Draw today…[/h]According to the local newspaper in Southampton, Luke Shaw is “heavily tipped” to leave the club in January and his expected destination is Arsenal. This story has been rumbling since the summer and it wouldn’t surprise me if this turn out to be true.
Having just tied down five British players to long-term contracts, Wenger seems keen to add Luke Shaw to this list. Rumour is we have had scouts watching him but then again, so have Chelsea but surely a player of his age would rather join a club which doesn’t swap its manager every five minutes and play under a manager who would give play him and not just pay him?
I doubt Kieran Gibbs would mind a bit of healthy competition and our current left-back does struggle with his fitness but the bigger bonus would be that should this rumour become true it will surely spell the end of Santos…

Deluded or what!Think they have been on the bottle for Christmas early. Wenger can sod off!

I just can't see it, Cortese's whole vision for the club rides on getting the likes of JWP and Shaw to stay at the club.

Indeed; I would imagine that Cortese would place an utterly absurd price tag on Shaw, and Arsenal has much greater needs at the moment.

As regards Shaw, Cork in pre-match conference said he should stay at Saints to develop his game. When asked if he'd spoken to Shaw about it, he laughed and said that you don't get much out of Shaw but he is a good lad who needs to improve on Call of Duty. Cork was also interested in the fact that SKD was known as Calamity Kelv at Sunderland...suspect he couldn't wait to rib him abut that. He did, however, say that Kelv was a big personality who gave the defence confidence (playing on Saturday??).

Puncheon deal won't be sorted out early...Saints will want to keep him hungry and he will want to consider his options.
