All the Southend fans down where I live go on about watching in amazement and horror as Rickie slammed 4 past them at Roots Hall.

He completely annihilated them, on his own. They actually had a chance to sign him years back but turned it down and eventually ended up with Richie Foran.

They also put Gary Hooper in the reserves before selling him to Adkins' Scunny side.
 
With the reurn of GMI we can expect some lively debate over the need to replace our entire defence! This is an invitation to him to name a few suggested replacements so come on GMI who do you want us to sign?
 
Saints are being linked with Abdul Kader Keita who is being quoted as saying that his agent is lining up a deal with a Premier League Club.

The 31 year old winger has recently departed from his Quatari club Al Saad and is a free agent, in truth the player had not had that great a career until four seasons in France with firstly Lille & then a 18 million euro move to Lyon in 2007saw his profile increase earning him a move to Galatasaray for 2009/10 season.
After one season in Turkey where he played 27 games scoring 5 goals he returned to former club Al Saad for 8.5 million euros in 2010 although his second season doesnt appear to be too much of a success and he spent some of it out on loan.
Now a free agent he is looking to play in the premier League despite offers from French clubs but Keita who can also play as a striker as well as on the wing would prefer England.

It's been a few years since I've heard that name. He used to be good, so maybe he still is.
 
Dont the Arab clubs tend to pay unbelievable wages?. i wonder if we could be able to offer the same if it is true.
 
I can't believe how close the window is now.

Another month of constantly scanning twitter, reading into comments far deeper than necessary, hoping fake agents on Twitter are real if they say something positive, hoping they are fake if it is negative. You have to love it though!

he is a good player and our captain, but do you think we loose our shape with him in the side?, he does not play wide enough so we are very narrow and takes the pressure off the other teams right back like on saturday with Johnson bombing down the wing knowing Lallana is not a true winger. Are we in a position to play him and Ramirez or would someone like Lens be a better option who is quick and can exploit space,please do not banish me to the Pompey board for sying such a thing
