Weird that Wolves is starting at less away games than Arsenal/City - only 4. I assume it's because the previous two sold quite slowly but it's not great as it will surely mean not everybody in that first window is guaranteed. This will be much more popular than City so I think the club have made a mistake here.
Apparently the Liverpool home game won't be going to general sale. Only going down to memberships with previous history. Twats, as that was a Sunday game I was hoping to get to it. Oh well, save myself a battering I suppose. I hope that's not going to become a regular occurence but nothing surprises me with that club anymore I get why they're doing it, but it's just a dick move to exclude a section of your fanbase like that.
Understandable though to stop away fans getting tickets. Presumably you have a purchase history too so should still be able to get sorted?
Sadly not; I won't be buying a membership (no point as I'm realistically only getting to 3/4 games this season) so I'm excluded as no general sale (or restricted GS) window. Only paid up members with non-Liverpool purchase history can get a ticket. Like i say, i get it to a point, but 20 years of purchase history means nothing clearly! It's a bit heavy handed and just another way to try and get more money from fans. Still, I'd rather watch Stoke than Liverpool anyway ...
Ah I see. Sorry I misunderstood about it only being for members. Yeah that's a bit ****ty really, no reason they couldn't do a general sale with the same purchase history restriction. Presumably they're justifying it by thinking it wasn't likely to hit general sale anyway (which is misjudged clearly as been on to members nearly a month). You're welcome to buy my Northam ticket off me if you like. Or I could even get you one as my additional if there's still some left when that window comes around. Feel free to drop a PM.
As Saints didn't want any other managers seeing how good he is. Although I suspect that they're already well aware
It’s purely because he plays for Saints. He should be in the 21s based on talent and performances. The stats behind Solankes call ups to the senior side say it all… Liverpool - 1 goal and England call up Bournemouth - 72 goals no England call up Spurs - 2 goals and gets called back up…
I agree totally with what you are saying, we've all seen it enough times over the years, players being overlooked because they don't play for a big team and players getting picked even though they hardly play for their big team!! On the flip side though, I do feel players should work their way up through the correct age teams, helps to keep them grounded.
My favourite example of this was with VVD. Within about a week of signing for Liverpool the same people who had been saying he wasn’t much good because he played for Saints were saying about how much better he had gotten in a couple of training sessions with Klopp and was now one of the best in the world
Does anyone know if the post on FB supposedly from the club Happy YOM KIPPUR From everyone at Southampton football club is official ? I like to think it isn’t , have filled out a contact form asking the club .
Why not an official greeting? Without checking back I'm pretty sure similar messages were posted to reflect the diverse nature of the club and it's supporters.
