Saints real football thread - no transfer / manager talk

For people interested in SFC FACTS:

1. Great free kick JWP! (England U20s)

2. Goal for Sam G (England U19s v. Montengro) 6:0

3. Starts for Chambers, Reed and Targett (England U19s v. Scotland) 2:1

 

Targett and JWP both good at free kick taking.

Also saw a video on the mail website showing Shaw taking free kicks. I can only assume he was kept from taking them for us to avoid attention. Rickie's have been less than consistent in the last couple of years.

 

When playing for Saints I want JWP to stop taking short corners

 

I wonder if Saints should consider playing JWP more centrally as he does for England. Suppose he has to play out of position or not at all because of competition for places. Sometimes being flexible can damage your career.

then we can have a team of just centre midfielders.

Damn...I was too slow. I just happened to turn on Eurosport earlier just as the free kick was give...nice to see it in the game context.
