Voted by fans, Saints came 2nd in the table for the best away day match experience with a mark of 7.23 out of 10. Hull came top with 7.79 out of 10. Liverpool did not fare quite as well. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32975501
That doesn't surprise me. The pre and post-match 'entertainment' at the majority of games and clubs is about as entertaining as hitting yourself in the face. Oh great, a penalty shootout, look at all the ****s I give.
Come on PL, any sort of naff half time entertainment at Fratton would have been better than the game!!
I would rate Man city as the worst. Away fans weren't allowed in any pub for miles around, and not a single person/steward could tell us where there best place to go was. Surely they're used to having away fans?!
I didn't look for a pub but the stuff around the ground at City was good. Not having urinals because the were blocked and 4 cubicles for 3000 fans was poor though.
Years ago clubs use to provide a lot of pre-match entertainment. I was once at Fratton Park and there was a display put on by RAF dogs!!!
Of all the teams in that list, my favourite would probably be Watford, mainly because of the amusingness of the tannoy-guy counting down the number of minutes 'till your Golden Boys' arrive. Overall my best away day was Doncaster away.
Mine was Racing Club v River Plate. After the game the home fans were detained for maybe up to 30 minutes to let the River fans get away first.
Woking away was an interesting away day, seeing as we were held in the ground for 30 minuntes afterwards as the Woking chavs were planning to attack on on the way out. Eastleigh away was good. Good game and they took tannoy requests! Unfortunately I had a blank and went for Boys of Summer by Don Henley, but still.
With you on this one. Liverpool, Everton and Man U I always find a good day out. Stoke is absolutely dire! Not their fault, to be fair. It's the geography of the place.
Only did Burnley Man United and Sunderland away this year....Burnley and Man United were great, Sunderland was crap. Fulham has been one of my favourites in the in the last few seasons
