A few of the players visted the cancer ward at the General today. My dad is there atm and he chatted to Yoshida and Bednarek. He said Yoshida was brilliant and so respectful.

During his talk with Yoshida, my dad said how Yoshida's training jumper looked really nice. Yoshida then gave it to my dad and said he could have it. Yoshida is brilliant and I thank him (and Saints) for brightening up my dads day

Hugo Schecter (sp?) said that Maya was the nicest, kindest person he had ever met. :) Hope your Dad is better soon, Beefy.

Sorry to hear your Dad is in the unit mate. Hope things go well for him. I too have met yoshida who I found to be exceptionally polite. I’m glad the saints guys took time off to visit the hospital.

That’s really nice, hope your dad is feeling better soon. Maya does seem like a genuinely top bloke. Would like to see him playing a bit now fit.

Sorry to hear about your Dad Beef, but good to hear about Maya and the others. This is the good side of football and it’s great to hear about it from first hand sources

Yoshida’s reaction brought a tear to my eye. What a wonderful gesture and I hope it gives your dad a boost during his battle with cancer.
Pierre’s comments on the short video, visiting the children’s ward showed that too seems to be a very nice, and humble person.
Let’s hope the players absorbed some of the fighting spirit that so many sufferers of dreadful illnesses show when combatting them.

Sorry to hear about your dad. Tough times for patients and families, hope he gets better soon.

I hope the hospital visit did the players a bit of good too. Not sure if it was Pierre or Steve Davis who talked about bringing perspective to life but that is exactly right. I am as brassed off as the next saint at the prospect of relegation, but in the grand scheme of things it is perhaps not the end of the world compared with what some people are facing.

Blimey I've got all philosophical early today - and I've not even had a drink!!

Odd that Lemina wasn’t there. Too busy doing Instagram videos of himself driving around without a seatbelt on...

    Cracking song though.

Seriously though, not only is he driving without a seatbelt (well if you look closely it is there but behind him, so i presume only the lap part is on), he is driving videoing himself.....

Sorry, but total dick for doing that - the seatbelt is his funeral, but driving a using your phone to video yourself there is no excuse.

    ...Steps down form soap box.
