Saints players and coaching staff visited some of the children at Southampton Hospital this week. Some fantastic pictures on the site (look out for the Pompey fan in the Saints shirt). Very happy seeing the club doing this. What awaits the Pompey fan when he goes home? This, probably: please log in to view this image "HE PUT ON A SCUMMER SHIRT! GET 'IM!"
Why hasn't the Matron insisted that that stupid flag gets taken down on medical and health and saftey grounds? It is also probably causing great distress to the other patients' famililies and visitors. Also why isn't it at half mast given Pompey's current precarious circumstances?
Is that Pompeymeowth with the rope? Hey that woman at the front is wearing the very lovely Mrs Godders old coat. The unlucky one I spilled paint on so that she wouldn't wear it anymore. If you look closely you can see traces of the white paint all down the front
Is it at all possible that 90% don't give a toss anyway..? Remember, most people aren't football fans.
Great set of pics & fantastic that the club continue doing this I still find it utterly heartbreaking to see these fragile children suffering though - fingers crossed for every one of them to pull through.
Hey everyone. The pompey fan wearing a Saints fan is raising money for charity, hence the wearing of the shirt. If anyone is interested here is his website https://www.justgiving.com/Scott-Craig1/
These kids aint dying mate. I've been in one of them wards myself, but fortunately not at Christmas. I was due for an op coinciding with the vislit (few years back) but the bloody hospital postponed it. Was lookimg forward to meeting Bradley Wrilght-Phillips, Inigo Idlakez, Mario Licka and Pele!
Beat me to it, I'm having great difficulty watching Player but there was some mention on there about the Charity work.
It's good to see football teams actually getting involved in the local Community, and giving some support back to the people who have supported them through thick and thin. Football gets a bad reputation where it's claimed to be full of greed and cheating, but actions such as this get overlooked.
Really nice touch by the club. These poor kids must go through hell with all the treatment they have to have done and the pain must be excruciating.
