I have been thinking of signing up for the Saints Player for some time but have resisted in that I am not sure whether it is good value or not. What are people's views? Is it worth the money?
So worth it! It's 40 quid a year for fantastic coverage, covers all age groups and has good interviews. Highlights are brilliant as well.
Have to agree...I signed up for it last year and it is fantastic! I don't live in Southampton, so having the facility to hear commentary on all Saints games is a massive plus for me! Also it is great to hear all the extended interviews and, match highlights...for £40 a year it's a steal!
Definitely worth it! Better hurry though Godders, there's an interview with Gaston Ramirez going up at 8pm.
See my piece earlier about Adkins interview. 30 Mins of extremely interesting information (Adkins not me!). You see how things are said and it can change the whole meaning of things. As we all know the written word can give the wrong impression. Sign up...you get to see highlights and interviews and the archive material sees you through those between match moments.
You can watch it on an iPhone if you use the Photon app which allows you to use Flash media. Don't know about androids.
The only criticism of it i have is that hen watching a video, you can't jump ahead or rewind a bit. So for example if you wanted to watch the pitch invasion at the end of the Coventry game from last season, you would hav to watch the match highlights first edit: or I just havne't worked out how to yet!
I haven't tried, but I thought that they had upgraded the Player for this season, and that you could rewind and fast forward now?
On a computer, you can drag the time line thingy forward to where you want. Pick it up, drag forward and release. Don't know if you can do on an IPad if that is what you meant.
No, I've just had a go on my iPad and the FF/RW doesn't seem to work. Oh well, hopefully there won't be too many bits of this season I'll want to skip past!
It is the only way I can get to listen to Saints games live and get to see the extended highlights of those games. In my opinion great value and looking forward to a good result this evening (11 pm kick off here).
