Anyone else have conflicting e mails regarding price for player this season - had 3 one saying 42.99 another saying 37.99 and not to be outdone last one 4.49 p.m. which equates to 53.88 ???
I received 3 emails detailing new charges: 1. As of 01/08/2012 your subscription will start to be billed at £37.99 per year, an increase of just GBP2 per year. 2. As of 01/08/2012 your subscription will start to be billed at £42.99 per year, an increase of just GBP 3 per year. 3. As of 01/08/2012 your subscription will start to be billed at £4.49 per month, an increase of just GBP 0.20p per month. Originally I only signed up on a monthly basis so I could listen to a game when in Holland. Then cancelled but renewed following marketing calls as they did some free periods etc. My subscription now says it's active until March 2013. I'll be pissed of if they've taken an annual subscription out when I specifically said I didn't want to automatically renew after the free period. Time to check my bank account! Presumably annual cost was £35.99 and the first email with the £2 increase makes sense. But where does the £3 to £42.99 come from?
Must admit I was a few seconds away from an annual subscription the other day. I still get Friday newsletters, even though I haven't had Saints Player for several seasons. I thought I'd check a reminder from ebay first. There was an electric blue Squier Fender Telecaster going that is in rather nice nick, and they are never cheap like a Squier Strat. 'Fraid that's going to take priority until I don't win the auction. Then I'll get my subscription. Do fancy that Tele though.
Never opened the other two assumed they were just repeats. I've just paid for the year so assume I'm ok...still good value in my opinion. I'm loving the stuff from France and goals from development squad etc...keep me going until the start of season.
Saw the different values, but my sub ammounts, last until January anyway as that's when I first got it out (tempted by a cheap deal that season & I've managed to get similar deals other seasons). So not too bothered as they should have prices sorted by then. Found it funny as hell though.
Just got an apology email. This has been sorted now it's gone up to £4.49 a month which is a 20p increase on last season.
Personally, I'm still irritated at Saints Player's misleading e-mails last year putting the price increase down to HD video of which I am yet to see a single 720p video online. Not sure if I will be renewing my subscription this year as I'll have a season ticket for home games and 90%+ of our away games will be available to stream online with highlights afterwards on various websites so the only thing I'll be missing is player interviews.
Would you recommend getting it or do you think its a waste of money? If you pay on a monthly basis is there a minimum contract?
