It appears Southampton are now after Snoddy http://www.thedaisycutter.co.uk/2012/07/saints-join-canaries-in-snodgrass-chase/? Canaries boss Chris Hughton admitted on Monday that he may have to play the long game in his pursuit of the 24 year old after seeing two firm bids of £1.5m then £2m+ rejected by Leeds but although he remains confident the newly installed gaffer will be perturbed to hear of competition coming in from the south coast But then again this site is also saying that we are looking to cash in on him which I don't believe is the case whatsoever
If Southampton are in for him, they are likely to have serious money. So if they put in a proper bid of £4m+, we'd be mad not to cash in.... unless all of this transfer activity has helped him decide to extend. There's talk elsewhere that the TO will happen tomorrow & Snoddy will re-sign early next week.
Snoddy did say he wants to see LUFC showing ambition - Opinion seems a little divided on how much has been shown so far, maybe the next couple of signings will be the important ones for him. Saying that there must be a cross over point where Warnock will feel he could get better value for money. If we sold him for £4M I would feel that was a 50/50 call, pushing towards £5M and I think we would be mad not to snap their hands off assuming WE CAN persuade someone to join who would be a better replacement. I am liking the sound of Templeton, I wish we had made a move for Saluko and I am sure there are a few more teams out there with equally as talented players.
Bates to buy Portsmouth....now that would be fun - we all know he likes buying **** teams that are in deep financial do do!
People move on....life goes on, l know NW will not piss around with Snodgrass much longer, ok he is a descent player, but ffs he does not walk on water, this can upsettle the squad in pre season, make ur mind up or move on Snodgrass.
Good news, he's off. Hopefully the Soton interest made Norwich put in a proper bid quick sharpish. The certainty is better than the Gradel situation last year.
It's a really interesting one isn't it? Tell everyone something is happening, in order to give yourself the chance to keep your mouth shut and do nothing. Let the rumour mills work themselves out, but continue to keep your mouth shut. At some point in September, tell the world that the takeover has failed to materialise, but show that there has been investment and that there is no longer any vindictive backchat from the chairman. Sell your best players but at least invest. At a fashion. Could Bates be that clever? Has he taken on a clever sidekick?
To be honest, if you were buying a business would you let that company sell your best assets....no, so as for take over.......dont think so, and i am not going to go through a turnstile while that prick Capt Birdseye has anything to do with the club, and i mean anything

Simply put, you wouldn't, especially when the deal to sell may NOT be in the best interests of the football side of the club. However, I don't think there is a takeover and I'm growing more confident that whilst there will be changes, the new people will be brought in by Bates for keeping his business plan after he has gone.
