Saints were fined £20000 for misconduct then....strewth that is a bit steep....bang goes our european football for good conduct then....
So your only interest in the subject was to criticise someone else bringing it to you attention is it......for christ sake get a life CBK!!
No touchline ban for Poch then? Goodnews...good luck to the FA getting their £20k out of Cortese. We'll probably get kicked out the football league for refusing to pay it!
To be fair to, the perhaps overly cynical, CBK, he does have a point. It was posted earlier by Fran. We should all check, as far as reasonable, that news of an event hasn't already been posted earlier, although I will agree, this is probably worth its own thread. Now carry on. My own opinion is that it wasn't unexpected. By the way, did Ferdinand get a fine for cynically clapping the Ref's performance after the final whistle against Real Madrid..? I'm not at all aware that he did. Fining these indiscretions is OK, providing there is consistency.
I believe he got away without any punishment for this as well.
Not surprised it was quite a high punishment....touching the ref is a strict no, no and that couldn't be passed off as an accident.
I was trying to think of what Fergie occasionally gets himself sentenced with. It did make me wonder whether the FA took into any consideration at all of Saints previously good conduct. Mind you, seeing Adam's expression against Clattenburg, on the BBC Football website, told me all I needed to know about his lack of control at the precise moment.
I know MP is not aggressive, but I think it is not a coincidence that this has happened now Nigel isn't here. Be interesting what Nicola's view of it is...he can't be pleased and also probably had a word with Mauricio about both the players and his own behaviour.
And David Prutton got 10 games for pushing an official and failing to leave the field after being red carded, after fouling Robert Pires, plus a £6,000 fine. I can sort of understand why he didn't want to leave after crocking Pires. What did Di Canio get..?
11 wasn't it? And technically this is only 6 but +1 for his second red card of the season. Anyway, if it makes anyone feel better, Clattenburg is now injured.
Holloway got fined 2K for coming on, waving his arms and shouting at the ref, so not surprised that MP wasn't even charged. He shouldn't have come on the pitch, but as he said he was respectful at all times.
i kinda liked the reaction of the players and manager. it shows genuine passion and it was never a penalty!!!
