As you can tell the season is over with nothing much else to do than start endless threads but I thought how about a Saints eleven made up of players who have managed Saint either as mananger or caretaker. Right here we go with a 4-5-1 GK Adkins LB Dodd (I know he is a RB but has covered LB for us I think) CB Nicholl CB Pochettino RB Burley LM Wise CM Strachan CM Ball CM Souness RM Hoddle FOR Sturrock Can you do better ? I know there are not that many options but some on here do have longer memories than me.
You'd have to put Ted Bates up front and much as I cant stand him Redknapp was a fair player in his time as was Pardew.
Surely Dan's favourite, Jan Poortvliet, should be in there?! Maybe he can be a sub, but he played in the '78 World Cup so surely a better player than he is manager!
How about a team of Saints players who became managers. Personally, I've got too much to worry about, what with not having a manager and half our team leaving, but feel free.
Shilton Golac, Nicholl, M Wright, M Mills Ball, Magilton, Melia Keegan, Drake, Shearer Subs: Katalinić, Ramsey, T Parker, McGrath, Pahars, Dowie, Bates *Based on their playing ability rather than managerial career.
