Highly touted youngster. Let's refrain from the "ahh another striker" vibes because if it happened (it won't) it wouldn't be as an addition to the first team.
We only have 2 strikers who have played in the Premier League as far as I'm aware, Lambert and Rodriguez. Mayuka and Lee can play there, and it may be their preferred position, but Mayuka has been playing out wide and I don't think Lee has played in the Premiership yet? Admittedly due to injury Anyway this guy is 18 and unless he is some wonderkid is unlikely to be straight into the first team, if he has something about him then I don't see the problem. Unless of course his signing means that we have not enough funds to complete other deals in more needed areas of the first team.
Just saw Sky tweet this and thought it was worth writing about because there isn't any fact to this. Just another rumour...
Don't need another striker at the moment, but, if he is one for the future, it does reveal intent. Adkins did say in the summer that we had transfer targets for this season and for years to come. In other words, we are monitoring players...doesn't mean we will sign them though.
If there's any truth in this rumour, which I doubt tbh, it's further evidence that the future is bright. The long term future, that is; the immediate future still looks a bit shaky.
Given the new signing strategy adopted over the past Summer - I would not be surprised if we were chasing another striker!
Has just scored four in about 35 minutes against AC Milan. Milan were leading 0-2. Sassuolo 4-2 AC Milan. 15 goals in 16 games for this season now.
Indeed. Wouldn't it simply be easier to suggest that we are chasing everybody and nobody, at the same time..? I appreciate that that would be the end of any rumour thread though.
