Been after him since end of the last season. Anyone else think there should be a transfer thread now?
Well he's not worth £8M at the moment, that's for sure. But if he comes to Saints it'll take the club about half a season or less to turn him into someone who is. I suppose we do need more creativity, just in case someone in the attacking midfield gets injured. I would hope Saints do get into the January market to make us less susceptible to injury induced loss of form. We're over a quarter of the way into the new season and, although it might read as obvious, but frankly I'd like us to see this season through where we are or better. I don't want any repeat of what happened when Steve Moran got badly injured when Saints were leading the table for 3 months, and then we didn't spend the money to ensure we got an instant replacement striker [no window either], ending up blowing it.
He'll be fine as a squad pay/stand in for Mane when he goes off for the ACON. Would rather get Townsend.
Can see more utility in him now than I could a few months ago. We play a much more high-risk (of losing possession), high-reward attacking style than a year ago, so his sometimes-wanting end product isn't nearly the problem it would have been in a system predicated on patience and precision.
Wingers: Tadic, Mane, Long, Rodriguez Left: Tadic, Mane, Rodriguez Right: Tadic, Long, Rodriguez With Tadic looking like a nailed on starter it's difficult to see how we can keep the rest of them happy if we signed Redmond. There's already been talk in the interviews about the likes of Mane and Long wanting to get more minutes. I can't see us signing another winger if Rodriguez stays.
Unless we start seeing Tadic as ACM.... Not a big fan of Redmond anyway, so hoping the reporting is of the same quality as the player.

It took me a long time to figure out what you were talking about. Damned words and their dual meaning...I was struggling to determine what was torn.
We will lose Mane and probably Mayuka for the Newcastle, Swansea and QPR games as they will be playing in the #AFCON2015 So a extra player or two coming in, in January or before on loan could be crucial.
Why are a couple of people thinking about Mayuka in the mix? He's only had time when we've been a zillion nil up. I don't think he's in our plans really. This is a Levy bait. He'll sign Redmond while waiting for Mitchell to arrive and then get laughed at even more.
