If a player commits a serious foul, abuses, foul mouths anyone or ignores the rules he is fined, banned or both,if a manager insults or commits a wrong he is banned from the touchline or heavily fined,if a fan misbehaves in any way,he is banned from the ground or prosecuted by the law.

If a **** awful referee creates havoc and allows injury how the hell do they get away with it....?

Good luck Skuseeee and Greg,we wish you a swift recovery...

Definately took the edge off the result for me.....GC injury sounds like it could be a bad one.
Radio comentary made it sound like the tackles were worthy of a red in both cases.

The BBC comments on the game say that both tackles were dreadful and the GC one was lucky to escape a straight red card. And this is an impartial view.

Isn't there a review panel that looks at the performances of referees and assigns them to lower divisions if they are proven to be ineffective at their current level? I also believe there is a system of taking another look at questionable tackles/actions of players after the fact and giving bans upon review. There have been several cases of assigning bans after review by a league panel.

Just listening to the game last night sent shivers down my spine when the tackles went in and you don't get carried off the field on a stretcher with your legs strapped up from a legit tackle or even a yellow card challenge. Ferguson will be fired soon and I hope the team that I used to like suffers some kind of league retribution upon taking another look at the evidence. The referee should suffer the same kind of scrutiny and be reassigned to lower leagues if deemed necessary.

The whole match officiating scenario needs to be reviewed and changes implemented to make teams safe from lousy referees - just ask David Moyes.

The Posh fans seem a decent bunch and even their manager Fergie junior agreed they should have been red carded, but their local press thinks that we get friendly officials!

When referees decisions are concerned there is no such thing as an impartial view.

Both were probably deserving of straight reds, but a referee is only human and it's not like we would have benefited by much as we already won.

Sorry endermb I don't agree mate. If their player had been punished properly for that lunge on fonts, Greg and Skuse would still be available to face Watford on Sat.
The cost of this is still unfolding.

I thought the ref team against Blackburn had a poor game, probably because they did but this was poor for significantly different reasons.

Skuse was already of the pitch when the tackle went in against Fontaine, but I agree that he he showed his authority then GC could of been prevented.
